Do you want to be nice?

It's nice to hear back from people. Small things like that do matter.
I do try to avoid responding to any letters with heavy content, mainly because I wouldn't want to give irresponsible advice or hollow words.

I was lucky to win a Kind Words GA a couple months ago, it's lovely. As they already said before, it can be heavy, so it's not that easy to just play it anytime.
Another thing that bother me, was that I was not so sure how to unlock new beats, and I had the same ones going on repeat and got a bit annoying. By any chance do you know how to unlock new beats?
Thanks for the GA :D

Greetings, this "game" really helped me get through some though times and at the same time I read about and responded to people going through similar situations in life. The feedback I got about something gave me some closure and I hope that with my feedback I was able to help some people. Just like you I am not sure if I should call it a game. Could also be a forum, but with a lot of positive people who give positive feedback. Lovely community and I highly recommended it to people who want to anomalously ask for advice, feedback etc or who want to spread some kindness.

Yep, a very nice game / experience / system / whatever. I've responded to many requests (or whatever they're called, I forget)...whenever I felt I something to add or contribute.
I wrote one 'request' from the perspective of a younger me when I could have used something like this, and was gratified to see the kind responses from folks.

Many have sought counselling, and have either failed to find it, failed to find something that helped, ... And there are also a lot of others that don't really need that, just someone who'd listen. Responses from people who got replies are generally good and they say it's helped them.

You're not wrong, but I think there's still value in getting encouragement (and sometimes advice) from strangers.
In some of my responses, I've provided encouragement, but suggested they seek some form of (professional) counsel.

I played a bit and really liked the concept of it. Most of the time everyone is too busy with their own life to stop and just listen so it's really nice to find a game where that's all you do.
The world certainly needs more kindness, the only thing though as other have stated is it can get a little heavy at time so if you are already depressed you need to be sure you're ready to read some hard stuff before diving in.

Yes, if you tend to internalize other people's problems, it can get heavy. But it's always useful just to send a quick note of encouragement even if you're not trying to solve their problem. Pick a few where you really have something to say/advise, and dig into those few.
Just my two cents. :)

I tried it last night to see what the fuss was. Unfortunately, the combination of the music and the Mail Deer forcing you to write something nice to them when you've only just met, was a bit too much. Kind words don't come easily for me, so I guess this just isn't for me.

It's certainly not for everyone. They are all complete strangers and the game (deliberately) doesn't let you get to know the person at all beyond what they write in their request. But for some, sending kind words (or simply encouragement) to strangers makes us feel good, like we are helping somebody.

I suspect that for some, nice/kind words are meaningful, no matter what the source. Sometimes people just need encouragement, no matter what the source (well, as long as it seems honest and well-meaning).
Anyway, like I said, it's not for everyone. :)

Hey people, I just installed Kind Words it today and I have to say this game is one of the best experiences so far. I do not know whether I should call it a game or something else.
Is there any Kind Writers around here?
I'd like to spread the word about this game, since it is so amazing and I really want for it to get more people in. :)
obligatory gid, but not this game, unfortunately
