I may be wrong but they ask for that ONLY on a support ticket. Not on chat.

Why they asking that? You made a ticket?

He can hijack your account with purchase details. He will probably make a ticket and offer the details as proof of ownership.

I hope you did not give him too much info, if it's only one purchase he may not be able to do that,
Maybe it's best to report him as scammer.

Ten hours later, and the link is still there. sigh

Do not "call out" a specific user in the forum (or in giveaway descriptions). The place to do that is in a Support ticket. Remove the link immediately and take a warning. Also, edit your OP so that it does not cite a specific person. If you do not take care of these things before I get back, I will be forced to suspend you.

I also suggest you read the Guidelines and FAQ carefully so that you know what is expected of you.

Yeah probably back in the loop to catch the new Steam users as they wont know about it. Probably due to a recent influx of Steam downloads due to the shut-ins.

This is 100% a SCAM, please report the profile then block them.

Here is a link to the Steam rep site: https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561199034694368

It shows they created the account yesterday and they are "community banned"

Def a scam as GarionX said.

Anyway. some wanker tried to scam me through a friend and (I hope she was sincere about helping me). So I talked to him and he asked for a screenshot of my purchases. I said most are from HumbleBundle, so tell me what's wrong. I reported him to Valve, they did the best thing ever... Trading ban for a week or so.

Well I know that guy who reporting me,we trade together. He ordered me to add the scammer to stop the report. So I though I'm doing something wrong here, but it getting suspicious when the scammer ask about phone number.
So now my guess is his account already being stole by the scammer, so the scammer using this guy account to stole another account on his friend list.
