maybe you can ask cg to stop you account sync until your steam suspension is resolved, that way you can still access SG and use the forums and talk to us, just dont enter giveaways though, you can still do giveaways for keys and send it to their email.

I wonder in what ways this is supposed to make Steam better/safer/easier-to-maintain/more-law-compliant. Does anyone know? The only effects I see are disgruntled users, support being asked about this anyway, users repeating mistakes they didn't realize were mistakes, and (fortunately small-scale, such as in this very thread) public confusion. It doesn't save much work, considering they have to know the reason anyway (if Steam is supposed to be a sane system where most things make sense).

While I highly doubt steam hands out a 13week suspension for having cursewords on a profile, the reason steam doesnt tell users why they were banned is the same reason they dont disclose what was detected via VATS.
Personally I think Jeyko was flagged by steam because of a trade, either receiving regional games, or gifting region restricted games. I read recently that steam was planning to start cracking down on that in order to enforce the pricing scheme.

I THINK it's so that the system and/or team that does the banning is not held liable for things that have happened in the past. If Valve discloses reasons that they banned for then there may be lots of cases being used as precedents. Users may be able to argue that so and so did something similar but wasn't banned or got a shorter ban term or got their ban lifted, etc, etc. That's my take on it; the only one that really makes sense to me.

Well, "nothing" is too strong a word for someone who plays games, wins on SG, and uses the community features like screenshots, forums or comments. It can be anything -- sending a "wrong" gift, receiving a "wrong" gift ("wrong" in these cases referring either to games from stolen accounts, things after a chargeback, or simply from/to the wrong region), trying to activate too many keys or keys that have been marked as exploited, offensive posts or profile images...
In any case, good luck, and definitely do let us know if you find anything out, so that there are lower chances of that happening to others.

It CAN'T be sending/receiving a "wrong" gift. He is banned from COMMUNITY only, not from TRADING.

In that case, you can try checking from what regions were the people you received the gifts from, or whether or not any of them are suspended too. (If you can't see that because of being suspended yourself, you can always ask someone else to take a look at them for you.) Not that it would solve much, but at least it might confirm or reject one of the possible causes.
