Thanks. That info can be valuable for most of us here. :)

That's certainly one way to get around your giveaway limitations!

the same thing has happened to me, my computer was lagging just like yours. Luckily i noticed it right afterwards, and erased. But it kind of sucks since some ppl frown upon deleted GAs, but honestly i don't see the problem if its a public one and it hadn't ended yet.

Oh, when you had 5 giveaways open, did you get a chance to see how many giveaway slots you had left on the Create a Giveaway page? I'm wondering if it said 0 or -1 or 4 billion.

Luckily that will be fixed in SGv2. It will say "Error. You already posted an identical giveaway within the past 2 minutes. To prevent double posts, it's been blocked." if you accidentally click twice.

So I made a giveaway and entered the details. I had made some other giveaways earlier that day and I only could only make one more giveaway with my current feedback score.
Due to my computer lagging, I got impatient and hit the "confirm" button again. Which essentially submitted the form a second time. I got a page of a giveaway created and didn't think about it. Once the time came to give away the prize, I noticed two identical giveaways had been created and there were two winners that were meant to receive the same game from me. Which also meant I had 5 simultaneous giveaways when my limit was 4.
Now this didn't matter much since this was a current humblebundle game and it only cost me $1 to get another copy. But this bug COULD have cost me more money than I would have been comfortable with spending. So, beware and don't hit that button twice.
