As simple as that.
Just to keep our page clean from games we already own or that we don't really care about.
This could also reduce the urge to join giveaways for games one does not really want.
At the same time it could help highlight those rare giveaways that sometimes pop up. :)

Good idea? Bad idea? What do you think?

yeah, but why not add some of those features to the site?

Likely too much server load to have everyone's filters on there and then to check each giveaway against that before loading. SG Plus works more like adblock and removes from the site things listed in your filters.

Would be nice if the add on was easier for newbies to find because really, trying to go through this site without it is a pain in the butt.

Account>Filter Games. You can remove any you own already, even without the addon.

Yeah but that's bugged. I remember after I won Bioshock 2 I dind't see Bioshock giveaways when the filter was on.

Many games have multiple different app/sub IDs as they are available in different regions. Pretty simple.

I'm not sure what does that have to do with filtering out a game I didn't have on my account.
Just for clarification: I only had Bioshock 2, but Bioshock 1 giveaways were filtered too.

I see I can't add custom filters in the default site... I'll try the addon.
Thanks again.

Ideas:

"Ignore game" button, to hide all listings for that game (even if you don't own it).

Filter for listings you don't qualify for (points/donation total/whatever...)

Sorting options for the main list. Sort by game title, or point cost, rather than age.

A page with listings grouped by game. So you could just click on a title and see all the listings with that title. Maybe the list of games could show total number of listings and wantlist count for that too (and include games with no listings)...

Here's a start As was already posted to this thread back when it was active.

If you're looking for a specific game just type it out in the giveaway search, then you'll get all current public giveaways for that game.

also dlc you can't enter for without the game(which you don't have)

Could be done simply by letting people blacklist games by ctrl+clicking the games they don't own but don't want to see on a game list like the one used when creating giveaways. Add the selected games to the current filter for owned games.

The games you can't enter (because of contributor minimum) should also be able to be filtered, at least to your minimum (if contributed, if not, only the normal ones)
