I feel like they are neglecting one game that i love, TF2, to the point where i have to boycott the company behind it, Valve. It is full of cheaters (and i mean like 10-20% cheaters) and they haven't fixed even fundamental bugs for years. Anyone with me? (I will continue to play games and use the community, but i won't buy anything on Steam until they start to show some love for TF2).

I think it's a bit of a stretch, but I ain't gonna pretend like Valve didn't just ignore TF2. But I also won't pretend that I think boycotting Steam because of that is a logical response. I won't also pretend that just because we have a difference of opinion, that yours is now invalid.

I think you're being made fun of a bit too easily. The same people also tend to boycott whatever else suits them whenever it does. Just that they also demand respect without realizing the irony.

Look, you do you. I think it's a pretty silly post in general with leaps in logic, but you do you. I won't be joining you in boycotting a DRM just because the affiliated company ignored an old F2P game.

I would love to Boycott steam just for deleting so many games and making it's items useless. I have tons of trading cards and stuff that has no value anymore and cant be sold off.

you are wrong, they have a lot of value to the right crowd, now more than before. Go on forums and check what your NMC is worth, you could be pleasantly surprised.

Go to the specific game forums: just google the game, the forums are still up even if the game has no store page. Also you might be able to find some info on each game on reddit sometimes. Some games are highly collectible because the BGs are sought after or maybe the emots or w/e

Nope i wouldn't just for that.
I boycotted Steam for years because i didn't want all the little video game stores in my city to disappear. So i wanted to play for example Total War, but didn't play it for years because steam was required.
And when i talked to people years ago about that, it made them laugh a lot because local stores don't interest them, even if the city cores are deserted with insecurity and unemployment.
So now that these stores are all dead and closed, i see no more reason to restart this useless effort.

i also despise how valve is handling cs:go. with all their lootboxes which is a casino in disguise for minors and the toxic environment they create with them and the cheaters.

I think there are issues on steam that are more pressing than 1 specific game. Yeah they made some fixes lately (took them years to do anything at all about my library and wishlist) but they only did the minimum. There is still more problems with the platform
So if I were to boycott it wouldn't be because of something like 1 game

Maybe if enough people stop playing TF2 they will try to do something about it. It maybe so many people already stopped playing they decided not to put additional resources into the game. Or maybe they are focusing on TF3, who knows. It's amazing they've supported the game for this long so no surprise it's not a priority for Valve anymore

I am more surprised anyone still plays TF2 seriously instead of using the same cheat pack to farm hats like… pretty much the almost entirety of its remaining player base.

I do, its a good game.
though aimbots and spy players messing with interp have become far more prominent.

Instead of Steam I can mention here any other company with poor anticheat feature - EA and battlefield 1, Blizzard and Overwatch.
Why the heck they can't block any cheater by IP, is so damn hard to hire some experienced IT worker instead of India pajeet ?

There are countless reasons to boycott steam but I won't just because some random dude ask me to. Don't be offended, I just don't know you.

I miss the old steam, where every game sold was a masterpiece.

Every multiplayer game is in the same state. Companies are trying to make profit from them, not make them fun for you. There are thousands of games anyway just play something else. I prefer Valve having monopoly over the PC gaming market though, this means everyone will be using Steam and Valve will have constant flow of cash coming to them so Steam won't shutdown and make me lose all games I have bought digitally.

There is no way to boycott steam. This would only be possible through pirating the games.

Honestly TF2 slowly became a mockery of itself with all those updates and additions. That game is way beyond repair at this point. Also its very old now.

It is true that it is somewhat unbalanced and near dead. Valve will probably just let it die in peace.
