Misunderstanding are...understandable...but as you now know, no, you don't answer the puzzles on this site in the thread itself. They are always meant to lead you to a key to a private giveaway.
I will post clearer instructions in the original post in the future. Thanks for deleting! :)

It's a standard cryptogram:

I guess it's not your thing.

Thanks for the encouragement, and I hope you enjoy it! I think I was just feeling a bit like a nervous parent, hoping my one and only child is loved and appreciated in the world. Still only 2 actual entries, but I'm getting more messages in the GA from solvers, so all is well. :)
Come on fellow gifters, I know there are more of you out there that are level 2+ and still have this game on your wishlists! You're not going to let a generic little cryptogram keep you from 4:2 odds are you?!

Don't give up on this one - I made it specifically because I've been feeling bewildered by the other puzzles on here. Start with the basic form of this puzzle from the title:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptogram
Cryptograms seemed intimidating to me the first time I came across one, but once you get the hang of them, they're quite nice.
Once you get the cryptogram, the rest should be pretty straightforward if you understand the basics of puzzles on SteamGifts, described here:

☑ solve cryptogram
☑ find the letters
☑ order them

There is something we are missing, but (if we are not wrong) using a bot seems easier :V

EDIT : Bump for solved

While the end result in the crypto seems obvious i am stuck on 1 word, in which there could be two options but i can't seem to get it right, either missing something or there is an error in the crypto (which might not make much difference to the end result as some already solved it).
Not that i can figure out the rest anyway.

There's a wonderful tool for solving of such kind of cryptograms https://www.cryptool.org/en/cryptool2

A lot of the time I would agree with you, and even create such a tool for myself just for the fun of it, which of course requires a detailed understanding of how to solve the problem in the first place. Sometimes, and in the case of these normal cryptograms and other word problems, once I understand how to go about them, I enjoy going low-tech and working my way through it - more satisfying. But to each his own! :)

btw, is there a way to tell if you own the game before attempting to solve a puzzle?
I like the idea of people posting puzzles to enter a GA rather than just everyone jump in. But I feel it would be great to be able to see if you own the game or not before spending time working on a puzzle.

Some posters say up front, some like to keep it completely or partially a mystery to encourage puzzle-solving. I chose mostly-obscured this time...in the future I might give more clues so as to make figuring out what game it is a mini-puzzle of it's own. :P

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I can kind of understand the reasoning behind not giving the game name away upfront, to encourage more people to try your puzzle. But... I can't help but feel sorry for those that go to the effort of solving the puzzle and get quite excited when they finally solve it, only to discover they're not eligible for the giveaway.
Anyway, thanks for doing the GA in the first place :-) going to have a crack at the puzzle now

I'm very sure there's not an actual error in the cryptogram, but depending on how you go about solving it (if you're using search & replace one character at a time for example), order of the replacements does matter. Traditionally, cryptograms are decoded into a separate space so that you never have the issue of re-replacing letters you already decoded. Make sense?

I won a nice game today, and I'm really digging this community, so...here's my first little puzzle for 4 copies of an 89% positively-reviewed, non-bundled game.
Hopefully this isn't as mind-blowing as some of the puzzles I've been beating my head against - just a little mental exercise for you! Cryptograms seemed intimidating to me the first time I came across one, but once you get the hang of them, they're quite nice. :)

Found a nice tool to help with the solving process (not a cracker, you still do the solving):

Once you get the cryptogram worked out, the rest should be pretty straightforward if you understand the basic goal of puzzles on SteamGifts, described here:

Edit: Someone kindly pointed out a bit of ambiguity in the use of the 5-digit number at the bottom. If you're sure you have all of the right letters, but you're just not able to get the code to work, try applying the numbers a bit differently, or try this alternate number instead: 51432. I'll have to find a better way of denoting this next time to avoid ambiguity.
