You would not lose your account just because someone didn't mark your giveaway. Don't worry. As others said, contact support, and we'll talk about it.

In case he puts his account on Private, best to take a screen shot now of the fact that he now has the game in his account and has been playing it.

This shows how serious a problem it is with non-English reading people using this site to win games. There has to be a way to communicate between the gift giver and the receiver.
I been on the internet since the 1980s, so I associated with people from around the world all the time in the last 30+ years. I probably have more non-English speaking friends then anyone here. I'm also autistic so my mind is wired to speak extremely literally, there is not an ounce of prejudice in my bones. I'm speaking only literally about the potential problems when there is NO way to communicate between gift giver and receiver. I have nothing against people who don't read English trying to win games, but it is a problem if when you are on an English site (like this one) and are trying to giveaway games and you have no way to talk to the receiver of the game if there is any problem. Amazon itself, has been known on occasion to give already used Steam keys, which is a problem that can be rectified if you can communicate between the gift giver, the receiver, and amazon to fix it. If you can't communicate at all, then it just opens a thousand and one potential problems.

There you go with the mirror again. You live in a cave and act like a barbarian to someone who is disabled and being just honest with his feelings. While I live in a home and treat others with respect and caring. Maybe you should try being nice to people for a change.

I think you're having a bad day :S
because,
What the fuck have I done to get this reaction out of you?
One second we're having a conversation, and the next, you're attacking me personally. I'll say this once: I don't have enemies, so how dare you assume that you know anything about me, because you clearly don't.

quote "Oh don't worry, I understand all too well Gandalf."
That above line, sounded like you were in a round about way, saying I was prejudical. And after reading a half-dozen other similiar sentences from other people, such as the english exam remark, the all blond people remark, and the "heil CG". I responded to the remark. I'm sorry if I misunderstood your remark, but I was reacting to what I thought was another round about statement saying I was prejudical when I am nothing of the kind.
And I was upset because I thought you were the one assuming you knew something about me.
I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. Even when both parties speak English, misunderstandings can happen.

No worries, it was just a joke between me and gandalf. Nothing to do with you :)
I'm just very surprised you blew up at me like that. I'm just commenting like I normally do and haven't actually done anything to deserve the response you gave me :S People are very quick to judge others on the internet, but I feel you went too far. It's all water under the bridge now, but hopefully you've learned to calm down a little and take it easy with the responses.
No hard feelings and hope you enjoy your time here.

I just went down the list of comments that seem to imply that I was prejudical. Then I picked the one on the bottom of the list. Then replied to that one.
And I was sort of saying what I wanted to say to everyone, and what I wanted everyone to hear, but aimed at the last person on the list. I use to write computer programs. It just made sense to do LIFO (Last In First Out).
By the way, I clicked on your name, then called up your profile in Steam, and tryed to add you as a friend, but the option to add a friend wasn't there. I was going to chat with you, to personally apologize to you.

I knew someone would purposely and sarcastically take it the wrong way. So I edited my message, but you didnt see the edited message.

And what exactly am I doing wrong? I state an honest statement, as an autistic, who is literal minded who only knows how to speak the truth. And people twist my statement into something that it isn't. And try to make it sound like I'm being prejudice.
Maybe you should look again at who is doing stuff wrong here.

Not going to argue here or there or who what where or why in regards to this particular thread topic etc, but why do autistic SG users (and there have been a few) feel the need to IM AUTISTIC SO.... etc. I don't care if you're autistic, really. I don't treat you any differently nor should anyone and if they do they're dicks. People are people and everyone should be treated the same with no judgement. Busting that statement out just opens you up for attacks of "don't use it as an excuse" etc. Previous admissions of autism on these forums have gone way WAY bad for those users. Whether or not you have a different way of life, a different perspective, a disability, politics, etc has no bearing here and honestly should not be so casually tossed out there. The internet is a cruel place as I'm sure you'll find out shortly in this thread unfortunately :/. I hope everyone can just walk away before this gets really stupid/out of hand.

I stated I'm autistic, because I'm literal minded to an extreme as part of the disability. And the rest of the human race, takes people as having some sort of "in between the lines" or hidden agenda, and automatically starts accusing them of all sort of things. They think people say stuff because they are prejudice, or think that people say things because they are being mean. I just say stuff very literally, and if people do NOT understand that, they start accusing me of all kind of shit, like they did in this thread.
I state my disability when I need to make it clear that there was no hidden agenda or secret meaning to what I was trying to say. And in this case, given the prejudical comments targeted at me, and other extremely nasty things people were saying. I think it was necessary that I stated it.

I still think your condition has no bearing on the conversation and I disagree with your reasoning but respect your choices on how you want to carry things out. Just gotta take your licks now because, dang, they sure are coming down the pipe.
Also, I think you brought up autism first before anyone even responded to you no? :S Unless that was an edit I missed.

That was your original message before the edit that you posted below no? This is where my confusion may lie.

My original message was just these two lines. Nothing else was written, just these two lines:
"This shows how serious a problem it is with non-English reading people using this site to win games. There has to be a way to communicate between the gift giver and the receiver."
I then realized after typing it, and hitting okay, that some people will take that the wrong way. So I started to edit the message immediately. About 30 to 60 seconds later, I had this message:
"This shows how serious a problem it is with non-English reading people using this site to win games. There has to be a way to communicate between the gift giver and the receiver.
I been on the internet since the 1980s, so I associated with people from around the world all the time in the last 30+ years. That above message, is what my message looked like, after I immediately edited it.
Then I refreshed the page, and saw all the responses from people that acted like I was prejudical. So then I edited the message again and then added in about the autism and that I have a lot of non-english speaking friends. To make it very clear that I didn't intend for it to sound prejudical.
The final edit, was actually my 4th edit. Adding in about the friends first, then adding in about the autism last. Total of 4 edits.

It seemed like a half dozen people started to accuse me of being prejudice within seconds of me saying that it could cause problems if non-English reading people can't communicate with the gift giver. I didn't see anywhere, that people said they were joking, maybe I missed that. But I take it very serious when someone accuses me of being prejudice. In this world, it is a serious accusation.

Nobody accused you of anything. Stop being melodramatic. We were joking, hence the sarcasm thing and ;) smiley. If we were not joking we would have written a three kilometre long post about you being this and that.
It's internet. People usually say things that you might not like here and you cannot change it, therefore stop getting annoyed over nothing, it's not worth it.

Do you feel like actually discussing the problem and the issue, and stop accusing a disabled person of being prejudice when you first never met me, you have no clue what goes thru my brain, and third I am literal minded by my disability. I state what my literal thoughts are. In this case, I stated simply that it is a problem with Non-English reading people not being able to communicate.
The possible problems I see are:
1st) The gift sender accidentally sends a key he used himself or traded. But the gift giver has multiple keys for the gift, so can replace it, if only the gift receiver can communicate with him. No communication in this case is a serious problem.
2nd) Amazon itself has on multiple occasions sent out duplicate Steam keys. There are recorded reviews by hundreds or thousands of people who attested to that fact. You can pay for a game on Amazon, get the steam key, and it can end up being a duplicate. You need to report it to Amazon, and they will give you a new key. Again, you need to be able to communicate with the gift receiver.
3rd) The gift receievr may be new to the site, and honestly doesn't know about hitting the receive gift button, so you need to be able to communicate to the new user to explain this to him.
4th) The gift receiver may of just forgotten to click it. Honest mistakes happen. Again you need to communicate with him.
And maybe I am overreacting about the "seriousness" of this issue. I am NEW here myself, and I really don't expect to be treated like a piece of slime, when I am being a nice, caring, respectful person in this community. I have not been rude to anyone. I have not been disrespectful to anyone. I have just honestly stated that it can be a serious problem when the gift receiver can not communicate with the receiver, how is that prejudice? How in anyones twisted mind, is that prejudice? Furthermore, I am autistic, so I speak very literally. Unless you are autistic yourself, don't try to read between the lines with statements I make, because there is NO between the lines. There is no hidden agenda. There is simply a statement with no hidden meanings. I simply stated that it could be a problem. And I edited my message 30 seconds later, to state that I been on the internet for 30 years and I have nothing against anyone, to make it clear. But people couldn't even wait 30 seconds for me to finish editing before they started flinging crap at me. Is that how friendly this community is to new people, and is that how understanding people are here?

You bring up valid points in regards to the actual question the OP posted but the majority of your post can be answered by my reply above. It's not that you're new, it's how you presented yourself just now. That's why people are shortening their fuses. I hope your experience can turn around and that you enjoy your time here. I for one have had a blast since finding this site a year ago.

There was NOTHING I said in my original message, that called for the response that I got. And 30 seconds after I typed it, I edited it to make it clear, that I been around for a long time, and I have a lot of non-English speaking friends. I was on one of the original MUDs to ever been on the internet, back in the 1980s. The MUD was full of people from all around the world. I enjoyed meeting people from all countries, and I even helped people learn to better speak English who were having trouble with our language.
Then I got treated as a piece of dirt, by the community in this forum. Getting comments like, what do you want, everyone all blond, and comments like "heil CG", and other crap. Everything very nasty directed at me. Nothing I said in my original message warranted that kind of response. It was people immediately misreading, and immediately assuming that was some sort of hidden agenda or hidden meaning, that blew everything out of proportion. That was unfair, and uncalled for, and was not a nice way to treat anyone.

They were joking around, and having a laugh. Their intentions were not to attack you.
Also, I've not seen anyone accuse you of being prejudice, or attack you for being disabled. Furthermore, you said "stop accusing a disabled person of being prejudice" as though disabled people cannot be prejudice, which is wrong. You seem to be speaking on behalf of disabled people, and acting as you know every single one is not prejudiced, which is false, and I guess in itself can be classed as a prejudiced comment.

Last sunday one of my giveaways ended.
I have send the key within minutes after the giveaway ended to the winner.
The winner hasn't replied to my email, but he addded the game to his account. At the moment he actually has played more than 10 hours with the game.
The winner hasn't marked the gift as received here on Steamgifts. He is Russian, so maybe he don't understand my emails.
I joined here about 6 weeks ago and am kind of new. The winners of my other giveaways have marked their gifts as received within a day.
I'm afraid when the winner don't mark the gift as received, this will affect my account.
What can I do now?
