Max Payne 3 Download/Alternatives

So I just won Max Payne 3 and I was surprised at the 30GB download, I knew it was gonna be like 10 or 15 GB but this was twice I expected.

Is there any way I can just get it?

(My cousin has a PC version but I think it isn't Steam)

Also, my friend has a PS3 disc of it, any way I could just get it without installing?'

What do you mean 'Just get it', the game is 30GB, how would you plan on 'just getting it'. PS3 version you could not do anything with and the PC version, you might be able to get some assets off to save downloading them, however I doubt the file structure is the same, you would have to play around with it.

you can try this:

use the Max Payne 3 CD your cousin has

install it in the Steam/Commonapps folder

Even if you managed to get steam to recognize the installation off your CD, the game has had massive online updates since its launch that take up like 16GB, if the Xbox 360 version is anything to go by.
