I've been staying away from sugar in general, but before I started my "no sugar" I enjoyed grabbing the ol' Biggby coffee butter bear frozen. LOTS of sugar.

Though I'm curious what other people here (if any) add something that isn't sugary to their coffee to make it different. Myself, I don't mind it just plain but sometimes I wish for a different taste if ever so slight.

I add some teaspoons of coconut oil and butter/ghee to my coffee (best when you mix it together in a shaker) to create so called "bulletproof coffee".
It gives a lot more energy than a normal coffee.
And you could add some cinnamon for additional health benefits and taste :)

A little butter or coconut oil. Blend it if you're able so the oil doesn't just float on top. It helps when I want something to sate my hunger (oils help you feel a little sated, and coffee already works as an appetite suppressant, at least for me). Also make sure the butter is unsalted unless you like your coffee to remind you of popcorn.

A pinch of cinnamon, or other spices.

Other than that just milk or cream I guess. I have also tried using things like vanilla extract, raspberry flavoring etc.

I make espresso and add steamed milk. Been working on improving my latte art. I hate sugar in my coffee, it tastes unbelievably terrible.

More coffee. (I like mine black & strong)
Chili powder if I really want an extra kick. But then I'm someone who thinks spicing things up with capsaicin works with almost anything.

Stevia's a definite no-go if you want to replace sugar - it works well for a lot of things, but it has it's own honey-like flavor that really doesn't mix well with coffee.

I love coffee. Used to hate it. Funny how our taste buds work... But anyway, I use about a teaspoon of half/half cream.. I used to use sugar and stopped maybe 6 months ago? It took some getting used to the 'nutty' flavor but it tastes better now that I have gotten used to it. I can't drink straight coffee though, way too bitter. May the god's help me if I get preggers... ):

I've never put sugar in my regular coffee (though I did used to have a Butter Bear on occasion when I lived in the midwest!), but sometimes I'll make it with cinnamon. Yum :-)
