Thanks. ^_^

Have you ever leaked a giveaway?

Can be leaked, can be bookmarked, can be left already opened among the browser tabs. We can't know

Oh yeah, that's also a possibility. I suppose I will go with the benefit of the doubt then.
Nothing I can do about it anyway.

Geez, that's a bit sad :/

Also they could have had not enough points at that time and left it open in new card in browser to enter it later :)
At least that's what I was doing quite often when I was spending points in a more active manner xD

I just didn't assume that it would be necessary in the case of my poor giveaways. ;) But yeah, you are right. :)

I'll often bookmark GAs hidden behind puzzles or inside a long train to come back to at a later time if I'm not sure if I want to join on the spot.
I'm sure others do the same: either use bookmarks or save the URLs somewhere. I wouldn't assume that it's a leak.

You are right of course, I am also doing it that way... especially with the trains. :3 I suppose I have jumped to the wrong assumption too quickly... mea culpa. ^^

It's just that I didn't get many responses in the thread so it made me a little angry that someone is still entering it. Now I feel embarrassed. X)

Have you considered using SGTools? You can use it to gate your giveaways, so users have to go through SGTools to get the link, and their username is recorded. Then it checks all entries, and if there are users that didn't pass through the SGTools check, it will tell you their usernames. That way you can see if it got leaked or not (and request a re-roll if they win, maybe? or blacklist them). You can also report them to the SGTools creator so they will be banned from the site.

I suppose it won't really work for giveaways that are supposed to be secret since it's mainly used to prevent rule abusers from entering (eg. ones who don't activate wins, or have multiple wins of the same game). So it won't stop leaking, just potentially let you know it's happening, and AFAIK Russian users can't use it at all which is a bummer.

Sounds pretty neat, but I am not using much site add-ons I am little dumb for it apparently ^^. But thanks for the advice. ;)

Certainly some of the "leaks" could be "honest", but some are surely not honest.

For example, if a bought (or a person controlling a bot) got the original links.... all of the related bots would also surely get that link.

I sometimes keep tabs open when I don't have enough points and join the next day. They may have not been aware that you've deleted the links. You could try messaging them. If it were me, I would leave the giveaway right away no hard feelings or questions asked.

I think I will leave it the way it is, as I can't be really sure of the circumstances. ;)

And I am probably creating fuss over nothing. ^^

Probably magic.

On another note (simply food for thought).. Why would you close the topic before the GAs ended? I canΒ΄t recall ever having seen that before.
Basically the site is built around being able to enter any GA just before it finishes. Afaik there are no options to put a time limit on entering GAs, be it with or without addons.
So, no, nothing to do with magic and probably not a lot with any leaking, just folks like me, who leave tabs, especially puzzles, open for a while until they get around to give them a try...

PS: as it seems to be your intention not to get any more entries, I shall refrain & close the tab with your original post without looking into it any further - thanks for your efforts anyways
edit: Happy belated Cakeday btw 🍰

Well... to be honest it was just spontaneous act from my side. Not really clever as I see. ^^
I wasn't comfortable about the length of the giveaways (made them too long) and the thread dying out... so I closed it. I didn't realized that there can be those who have bookmarked it and intend to come back later. I though that my giveaways or "puzzle" wouldn't be that interesting for it...

Sorry to hear that. Seems like my impulsive side got the better of me yet again.
Thank you for the cake. <3

SPONTANEOUS! how could you? please immediately visit the nearest impulse control facility ; D
but seriously, nothing to be sorry about - actually quite inspiring what you did. I get a lot of WTF!? moments and most of the time I have no idea how to deal - you did so in a very open and calm way without any focus on the angry side of the matter..
I tip my hat to you .😺🎩

To possibly limit "Invite Only" GA's link leak, some users create puzzles and ask for solution proof.
For example, some users hide codes in their threads that lead to jigidi puzzles of which you have to solve then show your proof of work by being logged in with your name and solving time clearly shown.
Requires additional effort, but seems to satisfy few users' needs.

Well, I am not sure that my giveaways would require such an advanced protection. ;)
I think I was bit too harsh in my assumption. Sometimes I just act too quickly without thinking it through properly. ^^

But I know that you here for more cat pictures! XD
Can't let you leave empty handed. ;)

It's good to give some things just a tiny bit of extra thought.

I can solve puzzles on the jigidi-site without registration.
I think that there are many people who do like me.

yes of course you can, however, sometimes the GA host will ask you to be logged in and take a screenshot to verify your time on the leaderboard that's all.

Sometimes I bookmark trains and/or solved puzzles if I run out of points for the day and enter them a day or two after when I got points again. Maybe something like that happened?

Con confirm that I do puzzles and then bookmark the results to come back later if I'm out of points. I might be a leak but It might just be someone who bookmarked it.
