I liked tumblr back then! I had an account too, I didn't know it was still alive though =P back in the days it was a nice website =)

Never found Tumblr that noteworthy, except for the economics behind it.
The yahoos over at Yahoo bought it for over a billion. Then that lot got bought out by Verizon, and now those folk ,are selling Tumblr again for a few million.
Apparently, if you have a site full of porn and hardcore SJW's, and then remove the porn, your site loses 99% of it's value.

Although, the events leading up to the porn ban probably are more to blame. Potential investors don't tend to trust web companies that mismanage their main site and apps to the point where they get their asses dumped by Apple for causing too many headaches.
