Yes, it's coming, but it's weird because I thought that Ubisoft said that it would be DRM Free

Steam is mainly a distribution tool

Still DRM.

Games can have extra DRM on Steam, like Ubisofts uplay or securom. So it might be "DRM free" on Steam. Also there might be a version you can buy somewhere else than Steam. Selling a drm free version wouldn't keep them from also selling it on Steam.

I for one welcome our new gaming overlords.

This is one of the reasons I love steam. Great prices/deals. The more access to games consumers have, the more piracy will suffer.

Now if only they could start throwing out games like Spyro, crash bandicoot, etc.

That would be amazing but I doubt that developers will want to port all these PS1/PS2 games. I would've loved Rayman M and Rayman 3 on PC tough :(

The original devs dont have to make ports themselves. All it requires is licensing agreements. Just like GOG and Nintendo's wii store or virtual console thingy. It basically requires a steam compatible emulator system and since they have one through sega it shouldnt be a HUGE leap.

Steam has provided access to OSTs and digital manuals before so are you complaining about the lack of wallpapers then?

I'm 99% sure i read somewhere it's gonna be given for free to people who buy Rayman: Origins. I'm also 99% sure it won't be free for anyone else. Not even sure if anyone else is gonna be able to buy it, but that's probably a possibility.

Good, but i hope they won't pull the same crap like with Dungeon Siege III (you could only get DS I & II on Steam if you purchased limited edition of DS III)

I remember seeing that pre-ordering Rayman Origins on PC would give you Rayman 2, so this is probably it.
