It's a combination of those and just like "Holy crap, that's amazing..." and you zone out at the simplicity at some of it.
Like the new furnace he made, where there are 16 holes, and the flames were shooting up into the barrel. My jaw almost dropped. No plot twists or dialogue needed.

Apparently this is a popular channel but I have only discovered it recently.
I am amazed that he can literally make suitable house and tools out of mud.
