Some question about booster packs and foil cards

  1. Do you have to have steam level 10 to drop foil cards ? (I mean by playing games, not buying ones or opening booster packs)
  2. Does booster pack always have 3 cards inside? If not then which ones?
  3. Is chance to drop foil card from booster pack moderated by anything? (for example having more cards in inventory)

"There is a small chance whenever you get a Trading Card from playing a game that it will have a special foil border. You'll need to collect a set of foil cards in order to craft them into a foil badge. There is no extra benefit to having foil cards or foil badges aside from their rarity."( There isn't anything being mentioned about being level 10)

"Once you have received all of your card drops, you become eligible for a booster pack, which is a set of 3 trading cards that may include both basic and foil cards. Booster packs are granted randomly to eligible users as more badges are crafted by members of the community. Make sure you log in to Steam each week to maintain eligibility."

Okey, I agree about first one, but people are saying ITT that booster packs can give more than 3 cards.

I've never got a booster pack containing 5 cards, probably you must be very lucky

If you are EXTREMELY lucky, you can get a Foil Booster Pack, containing 5.

  1. No, but it used to have.
  2. No, they don't. Some have more, but there can be duplicates.
  3. The only thing it's moderated by is the chance percent that someone can get a card at.

My friend had gotten a foil off his first game (portal 2) and he's only level 3, and as far as whats in the booster pack I believe its totally random 3 cards from the set of which its for.
