cool, i already own it on steam, but why not origin too? :D Thanks

If you already own it on steam then you could probably already have activated it on Origin too

Yep, Origin has done that with most of their in-house titles.
Likely in an attempt to get people invested in the platform.
I got a bunch of games both from physical purchases as well as steam added to my origin account like that.
Nothing like redundancy.

might I ask how? the only game i've ever been able to cross activate on origin was Alice: Madness Returns

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3154683 is a good starting point, though there may be others as well

And finally for the older games, you'll have to talk to EA Support and tell them your CD Key so that they can add the game to your Origin library. You'll also need an EA Classics account, which can be created on http://pogo.com
Example: Mass Effect, Crysis
:P

I did that myself when I bought crysis and crysis warhead on steam and wanted to activate it on origin... the cd keys didn't work, but after talking with support was able to get them activated.

Several EA titles I've bought physically and a few others I had on Steam were eligable for it.
Off the top of my head I did it with Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect, Dark Spore and maybe a few others.
I did it shortly after EA announced that they were allowing this.
They made a pretty big deal about wanting to make Origin more accessible.
Same reason why they have the "EA on the house" thing going where you get free games.

Finally have it. It's not in my steam, but who cares? I finally got it.

Amen. Or at least release a goty edition or some damn sales for bioware points.

Already own it on a physical copy. Not too good of a game but for free it's worth it.
The ONLY Mass Effect I liked was the first.

I think its over... kinda sad, a friend of mine told me about it while I was at work. Came home to claim it aaaaaand it appears to have ended. Technically doesn't matter that much anyhow I guess, since I never played the first one, it'd be weird to start on the second.

Seems Bioware™ is going to give some stuff but the ME2 game was somehow put free before time, so wait to see what is incoming maybe will be free gain. And Dragon Age stuff incoming.
