Question about steam trading cards... (no giveaway)

So i was playing CS:GO yesterday for like 1 hour, didn't get any card... today when i turned on my pc i realised i got 1 card... now it says i have 2 card drops remaining... does that depend on hours played or how can i get more cards? I mean being able to get 3 out of 5 cards is a bit sad... :/

ye, only 3 out 5. Hopefully it gets reset just like tf2

It was already posted on the forum that the drop is not going to reset.

It's done on purpose so that you are forced to play their little metagame in order to get access to features that should be free.
Feed them money through what is essentially a microtransaction system, and in return you get emoticons and backgrounds. And do not forget that all important XP needed to get a showcase, aka, a proper profile description.
