Everyone keep calm and don't forget your towel. Wait for the actual release with panicking. This is supposed to be open world so I would not expect a better graphics than W2 had, but I doubt CDR would be satisfied with the game looking worse than the previous one. They will definitely work this out, if not on release then with a free DLC. That's in case it is not just a hoax since the beginning.

I can't remember the last game that looked great at the announcement, then looked shit towards release, then looked better at the actual release lol.

Well, MKX went different route and earlier announcements looked worse then later pictures and game itself.

That early Cassie Cage, ugh. They really changed her square head.

Really? That's surprising! It's a shame what they did with the DLC for that game though.

Is this becoming the norm for games these days? It frustrates me to see consoles dragging gaming down. We could have a VERY high standard of games (years ahead of what we currently have) if PC gaming was the only main platform.

That sounds great, but why on earth would they "save" the pc footage for release? It's creating a lot of doubt amongst players and would definitely cause a drop in pre-orders.

Yes fair enough, but from a business perspective it just doesn't make sense.

Yes. PS4 & X1 are very low end compared to PS3 & X360, which were top end hardware.

This generation needs start dying already.

No shit sherlock, in these years its obvious that all those trailers dont represent actual grahpics...

Anyway, some of those SS's are clearly on some low graphic settings....no reason to spit shit left and right

Well, in defense of witch-hunters, nobody forces devs to go out and show usually-additionally-photoshopped pictures two years before game will even get into beta stage.
No semi-lies, no hunters, it's that easy.

But then, no semi-lies, no hype. And in the end hype that sells games, not quality.

We'll see that next week, but I very much doubt Ultra setting is gonna bring massive improvements to the graphics.

Sorry for saying that but I'm probably the only one that doesn't care about TW 3 and thinks that Polish people take it too seriously. No, I don't mean the Clewn by that. There are people who think it's the meaning of life :P

P.S. Clewn, please try to calm down and let people wait for it to come out. You don't know anything about TW 3 either. Let's wait and see. If it looks awesome, then good for You. I would probably even try it on my new PC to see how good it runs. I personally don't care how it looks but I don't want You to become one of the mad Polish people :P

Some people in this topic were really too serious on defending a company.
Now it turns out Op was right after all and there was a downgrade.
Its fun to read those comments now again from all those CDPR Worshipers.

To be fair many of us pointed out flaws in your reasoning here, and even though the downgrade did happen, it did not happen in the way you mentioned (like the fps cap). I also recall saying that the point is moot until the game will come out - that only then the discussion will actually be valid. That still holds as well. Simply put back then there was still too little data to support the claim of the downgrade - just pointless speculation. Guesswork. That may validate caution, but not jumping to conclusions like you did.

I mean yeah downgrading games for PC is sad, but It seems we don't really have the means to talk about that now, since we can't even point to some concrete examples - the game is not out yet.
I mean, how can we even start arguing that the game is bad when it technically does not exist yet? Speculation seems pointless, really.

So yeah, if you want to be technical about it we were in the right, or at least just as right as you, since most of the data you provided didn't hold well up to scrutiny.

In other words, if you want to gloat, go do it somewhere else, cause it's not nice, and it's not even valid here.

We are talking about arguably the game of the year.

A game that, even with the downgrade, is still beautiful.

And you are here gloating as if the game and CDPR are trash. Shame on you.

yes of course the game is very good in gameplay and in its visuals.
I just made some fun because there are few people who took it too serious in defending CDPR.
Also it seems Op was correct and didnt deserve some of the hate he was getting here.
