DayZ as a standalone game!

This is great. but i feel kinda bad that alot of people paid alot for arma 2 OA or CO just for this mod xD

from official blog "Development and updates of the mod will continue in parallel with the development of the game, so anyone who is playing the mod now will be able to continue to do so"

so don't worry guys it will be developing still.

Good thing I didn't buy Arma then lolz.

OMG For everyone wining and being sorry for people that bought ARMA 2... DON'T ! LOL First the game in itself is good, second they will be updating DayZ along side with developing the game and third, yes the game will be Minecraft like (it will be available in Alpha), but it's probably still like an year away from even an alpha, you know that right ? THEY JUST STARTED WORKING ON IT! LOL People just think a little , that brain isn't for weight.

I bought Arma 2 CO for it as well, but i'm just mad because DayZ sucks.

Awesome, I've always wanted to try DayZ, but something about buying a game I'm not interested in for the sake of a mod for said game just sounded stupid to me, so I passed on it.

Sweet. hope its 10 bucks or so and allows custom servers.

But they'll have to program the game from zero, lot of work.

Cant really understand why you would buy Arma 2 (CO) just for DayZ, I bought it years ago because it is a good game after all (glitchy game engine but good).

Then we will have the choice between DayZ and WarZ hmhm.
