Valve is pretty cool!

Not tacticool enough, need more realistic games with cool cover system. Oh, also a perk system would be awesome too. Well, they will learn to make good games, someday.

Valve is ok as a company. They screw non-american countries over through steam. It would be good to see them spend more time on new game development instead of too frequent TF2 updates but considering they only have 1 development team they do pretty well.

they are the gatekeepers of thousands of dollars worth of my favorite hobby, which makes them pretty damn important to me.

I think that Valve is interesting. On one hand it's a pretty big company for a company that doesn't produce much. On the other hand it apparently does a lot of interesting stuff internally, research wise, which I guess it can sustain due to the success of Steam.
