Hey there, I'm certainly not the first person to ask but I'm getting a bit confused about how the CV works. Lately, mine has been switching from $92 to $116 regularly... I didn't really mind but now, it went down to ~$68. What's the big deal? It's probably not the only thing that changed but it looks like one of the games I gave away (Tomb Raider) isn't at $50 anymore on Steam but at $30 (for the GOTY version at least), so it also changed the value of my giveaway and how my CV is calculated. I'd say it's a bit unfair if you have to keep giving games away and pay attention to the price changes in order to keep a high CV... But I don't know, is that normal?

It's normal. Prices are not held in a database but are taken in real time from Steam. Steam changes the price, your CV goes down... or UP.

Okay, I didn't know if the prices were kept in the database for every giveaway or if it was always calculated according to the current price on Steam... Eh, not really cool but it makes sense. Thank you all for your answers!

It's tomb raider. For some reason it's currently 30 CV, while it should be 50. The past few months it constantly switched back and forth between 50 and 70 CV. Seems like the store db for TR is just totally broken (at whichever point steamgifts takes its information from).

Concerning permanent price reductions: Seems like Knytt Underground just got set down permanently to 7 (from 10). Any else you guys noticed?
