no, they don't, unless you are really, really sensitive. racing games are so far the best VR experience i had. Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a pretty boring game for me. but in VR it was a blast. you feel like you really sit in the truck. it's amazing. played this one for hours without any problems. i also had no problems with faster games like GRID Autosport.

I think it has a better chance as a better A/V device (i.e. use it with a standard controller), for greater immersion into the game world.
Physically moving around in order to play a game? May as well partake in sports or gymnastics. (aka why the Wii failed to deliver)

There's a bit of a chicken and egg scenario going on here. We have the pricey hardware but very little compelling games to play with it. Yet, for adoption to increase, and drive the price down, there need to be some killer software applications.

Like with many new technology, the first couple of generations will probably be out of reach for most people, but as it develops and sees more usage, then it will become more compelling both price wise and usability wise.

It's a good thing that it's out there now, but it won't be for everyone just yet.

Bah I wish there was any convenient way to tell the Steam store that I'm not interested.
Now the whole front page is full of icky VR indie game stuff. I never liked the idea
of pressing tiny buttons on a tiny piece of plastic (aka controller) ... I like the idea
of strapping a screen in front of my face even less.

So many developers are trying to get people's money with crap VR games. When this initial hype dies out, the real games will hopefully emerge.

don't have the budget for VR right now and not convinced it'll be a success this time yet, but if it's still going in a year or so I may give it a go
in the meantime though it would be nice if Steam wouldn't shove VR in your face on every pixel of their website

That's the one I've been looking into since it's most likely the only one I might be able to afford in the foreseeable future.

It doesn't have all the spatial sensors to capture your movement like the Vive, but I don't have that much space around my computer desk anyway so I'd be worried about knocking things over if I started waltzing around with a VR screen strapped to my face.

It's 100% open source, including the schematics to build your own from scratch if you have the know-how to do it.

There's a SteamVR/OpenVR plugin for OSVR so technically it should support all SteamVR compatible games. I haven't done much research on that front yet though.
