So I've only joined recently and I've given away some of my bundle leftovers. But since i didn't like a lot of people probably too. So i decided to do a giveaway with something people actually wanted. It shouldn't be too expensive of course, under 20€.
I have my most important exam next Friday and considering the fact that the professor will most likely tell me "see you back in summer for the resits" I want to come home and do something positive. So I'll take friday as a deadline for ideas.

[EDIT] So a lot of people recommended rocket league and it's a weekend sale so i might get it this weekend (i already dumped money on my wallet). However Mad Max/Shadow of Mordor are also on sale and about the same price, so wouldn't that be better? But not everyone can play such games on their pc/laptop, so i don't want to exclude people out.

PS: is there a way to add a poll? or should i start a new thread?

Life is Strange (full game or season pass)
Crypt of the Necrodancer
Legend of Grimrock 2
Blackhole
Never Alone
Monochroma

Lol I'm afraid that if i buy it I won't be able to part with it since it's a wishlist game for me too. I'll consider it though. Maybe one undertale copy and a dishonored one?

Gamesplanet (french and german ones, slightly more expensive in the uk one). Also on bundlestars and indiegala (depending on region might be cheaper). Or do you buy only from the steam store?

Comment has been collapsed.

According to Enhanced Steam, the UK store has it at a lower price. Though it's not the GOTY edition.
edit though it would seem like the database that enhanced steam gets its numbers from does not do currency conversion well, and the DE store actually being ½€ cheaper. The base price is noticeably lower in UK though for this game.

Huh? I see 12,49€ and £9.99 (which is slightly higher) for GOTY and 9,99€ and £7,99 (which is also slightly higher) for the regular.

Good games on discount:

Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition - A must play RPG, especially for those that are into party-based RPG's. There's a lot to do in this game, decent replayability and multiple endings. Can't go wrong buying this one. It's currently on 75% sale so it only costs 5€

Binary Domain - I haven't played this one, but it looks good. It's also on 75% sale with a price tag of 3,74€ for the base game or 3,99€ for a pack including base game and DLC's

Good games not on discount:

Axiom Verge - Retro metroidvania with a lot of positive reviews. Probably as frustrating and annoying like other metroidvanias but some people really love that genre. Costs 17,99€

Shovel Knight - I probably don't need to say much about this one since it's well known and well received game. Even so I don't think I've ever seen a giveaway of this game before (doesn't mean there wasn't one, but if it were they're very rare). Costs 14,99€

Looking at that sale on HumbleBundle, they have quite a few nice games up. so listing a few:

  • Dark Souls II
  • ARK: Survival Evolved
  • Sunless Sea
  • 7 Days to Die
  • Ether One
  • The Long Dark
  • Prototype Franchise Pack
  • Toren

Of course you could also get the HB Monthly Bundle and top that even up with some additional (cheaper) game. I guess that would give you Alien Isolation straight away and some more games on Monday after your exam.

Oh, two more deals I find interesting:

  • Ryse: Son of Rome ($6.79 on BundleStars)
  • MadMax ($19.99 on Indiegala)

I see some good ones! And I was also considering the monthly bundle. But I really don't game much at all so I might give them all away. Last month they had talos principle and grim fandango remastered, both games I wanted :(
Is alien isolation a good game?

About Alien Isolation: I guess so, I have it on my wishlist ;) The user rating is quite high and it also was well received by the critics. Apparently the replayability is not so high and I don't know anything about the DLCs

About the reservation against the Monthly Bundle: I totally understand...

PACK 1
Human Resource Machine
Refunct
Dispatcher
Reus

PACK 2
The Beginner's Guide
Bastion

And so on.
I've heard many good things about Stasis too.

As you're new and probably want to join a few of the fancier giveaways at some point, I would recommend going for something that's on a good sale (and not on this list).

The closest thing SG has to an official wishlist is this, which is the wishlist for the Steam gifts steam group. Due to how it generates the list, it's not 100% accurate, but it will give you a good idea about what people want. And if you have enhanced steam installed, you can see straight from the steam store page where the game is currently cheapest and what its current price is over there.

Anyway, with that out of the way, two sub 20€ games that I'm personally quite interested in:
The Fall of Dungeon guardians (Not cheap anywhere though)
Shovel Knight (Ditto)

And good luck on the exam!

Using grey market keys is always risky, as you don't know where they come from (more often than not, the keys will be from boxed copies or from lower-price regions, but sometimes they are keys bought with stolen credit cards or even keys generated with a key gen (which happened with "A Valley without wind")). There have been cases of mass revoking of keys in the past (two high profile cases of mass revoking happened with Sniper Elite 3 & Natural Selection 2, though chances are that there are a lot of smaller cases that we don't hear about, as the devs don't make public statements on the matter).
