Orly giveaways are presumably still not added to the free list, and Alienware giveaways with a high level requirement seem to typically get a pass as well. Given the quantity of the keys and that they'll go down to level 3, that one seems like it could be an oversight.

I totally agree to that!!!!! 24keys? grb to stop this GA there are other examples out ther, even games with high "wishlisted" positions
it points the question up again,
why not even 0 points GA instead
and if they bring those games (if ever) back to life, cuz of whatever reason, u gather the points later on

it is!!!! they should reconsider from GA to GA or setup a higher count like at 1000free keys is a game to be deleted as giveable`?

It's not about "Bundled Status", you can't make a giveaway

Definitely a weird decision. They only had 24 keys so the chances at winning were pretty low. Now they are running Runestone Keeper, again 1 key per 1 hour / total 24 keys, so I wonder if that game is also going to be deleted from the GA list. :/

No to mention massive giveawyas of Wrath of anna everywhere.

I think that whoever is responsible for such decisions should really have a look at the orlygift site before making a unilateral decision.
Games from Orly giveaways are actually typically NOT added to the free games list, regardless of quantity, ever since the point where Orly implemented similar activation requirements to SG, locking any accounts that didn't end up with the game in their account and prohibiting entry from those that already own it in account.
Unless that outlook has changed, I imagine it was added to the list by accident or for some other reason.

+1 I really wanted Punch Club and would be sad if I do not have a chance to win it here :'(

Yeah, that's pretty unfair. And I wanted to win it. :/ They should enable the option to give it away.

Very odd indeed. Sucks for the developers too - now nobody will by it for giveaways. Hopefully it's just a mistake and will get fixed.

I don't think that would make a much of a difference truth be told, I don't think the community has much say regarding the rules of the site. Maybe I am wrong on that, but at the end of the day I am not so interested in one specific case, I just think that its a shame to ban a game (or all the future games under similar circumstances) over something that can scarce affect the website.
The reality is that games are banned so that people don't abuse the cv system with games that were given for free, and it makes sense when those were given en masse, but if you think about it, it just seems more of a loss than gain for the site, when a desirable game is banned over a few dozen potential regifts...
More than anything I wanted to know what others thought about it, as I said I don't think opening a ticket over this would amount to something, but on the other hand maybe I am wrong in my thinking and others can point out why (it has happened before... too many times...).
PS. by all account it seems my assumption was wrong and that similar cases have been resolved via tickets....

That's not up to me. I've asked if they want to remove that one too.

Two weeks ago I created a ticket with another game that was given away at orlygift, and I got this answer by a Moderator:
"This game has been removed from the giveaway list due to it being given away for free in a promotion on Orlygift. Games that were given away for free on other sites are not allowed on Steamgifts."

Lol the other people posting after you didn't check if it could be given away. It looks fixed now ^^

i don't know why they removed the game, orlygift is so restrictive like for example; you can't enter if you already own the game and if you did not activate your wins you can't enter furture giveaways, so i dont see the point to remove a game that where for free in that site

I see that punch club which was given away at orlygift has been removed from SG.
I think that whoever is responsible for such decisions should really have a look at the orlygift site before making a unilateral decision. I think they gave away a rather limited number of copies of punch club (something like 4 keys / hour for a day), certainly it did not seem enough to warrant removing the game from SG - especially if you consider that even on giveaways with a couple of hundred copies on orlygift, the chance to win one is not very good.
For instance runestone keeper is now being given away and its not far from how many punch club copies were given. Why remove a game given away there when its like 24 copies - or even 100 copies, it makes no sense ?
The principle here should be, not to deprive SG of a game because of a limited giveaway on one site.... it does seem right.
I understand when orlygift gives many thousands of copies of a game, but when its a few (even a couple of hundred copies) it makes no sense....
I guess I could be wrong, just seems a bit extreme.
