FTL is one of my favorites too, dunno how many hrs I've sunk into my gog version because there's no ticker. Have you tried any mods? Some are well worth the DL:)

Actually forget Clemens. Not that I don't like my name but in my experience people normally only use first names when it's an unpleasant conversation since in general everybody knows who's adressed anyway unless speaking to a large group.
I've seen there are quite a few interesting ones like new ship models but so far I have not. I'll have to give them a try sometime.

I found one that basically puts the game into sandbox mode:You can travel as long as you want but there's still a path to the final battle.
And of course there are mods for Serenity from Firefly and USS Defiant from ST:Deep Space Nine. Not sure if there is a Bebop mod:)

The sandbox one sounds pretty cool. I've wanted to do that for quite some time.
Bebop might be a hard mod to make while staying in canon because it's unarmed and only the Zipcrafts carry weapons but since there are ship layouts that start out without weapons not impossible I guess.
By the way did you manange to unlock the Crystal Cruiser? I never get all the steps for the event on the same run even if I have a Crystal crewmember in my starting crew.

Awesome gifs, I love when Riker and Worf have that moment in the movie. Did you read that there may be a new series with Worf as a Captain? I'd watch it over and over.

Thanks :D I was suprised there aren't already tons of GIFs from that scene (since I found it quite iconic) but if there are I didn't find them so I made my own. Which also explains why the picture is from a completly different scene but they look at each other the right way. There has always been this more or less friendly rivalry between Worf and Riker probably because both have a thing for Diana Troy. It's a little against the spirit of Star Trek (which doesn't focus on war as much as other SciFi shows or movies) but what I've always liked about the Defiance is that it's the first full-on warship the Federation has ever built. It even gets a cloaking device later on. ^^
I had not heard about that yet but if it happens my hopes are high after the latest prequel series with Captain Archer which has become probably my personal favourite. To name just one example I loved how they finally explained the change of the Klingons appearance between Captain Kirk and Captain Picard times.

I loved the relationship Worf and Riker had, and wished Riker had done some guest spots on DS9 besides appearing as his evil twin or whatever the hells that weirdness was so that he, O'Brien and Worf could have had some shenanigans.
I also decided after re-watching DS9 it's my favorite ST, TNG a very close second.

Almost one year ago I discovered this site and I don't even wanna know how much time I've spent here since then.
So since my 100th GA is aproaching I wanted to do something nice for you magnificent bastards for all the fun I had here.
This event started quite small as I only wanted to give away my two favorite games on steam and a third one but the idea kept growing until it became the behemoth it now is. And since I still haven't done a train I thought I could kill two birds with one stone (sorry Jasmine) so I welcome you to the Infinity Express. I wanted to do a story-train but halfway through creating and linking all the GAs I realised I wouldn't be able to do it or I would end up even crazier than I was to begin with. So this is where you guys come in...
I am going to give you the beginning and the ending of a story and if you want you can fill in the rest. Each GA represents a planet or location and your chapter should be related to the game given away. Post your chapter on the GA it relates to. Contrary to most trains you will travel from GA to GA using a portal device so don't loose it on the way. The story writing part is completly optional but I thought it would be fun to write a story together with the rest of the SG-community plus I will award a game to the person whose contribution to the story I like best. Quality goes over quantity so if you write just one chapter I particularly enjoy you might still win over somebody who writes something rather generic for every chapter. I haven't decided yet which game will be awarded to the winner so maybe you get to pick out of a small selection of games but I can tell you as much it won't be a brandnew AAA game like Fallout 4, Arkham Knight or Witcher 3.
But enough chit-chat, here's your first chapter:
You wake up with a raging headache. You find yourself in a roughly 6x6 meter room with no door and nothing in it beside a small black box standing in the center of the room. You have no idea how you got here. As you open the box you find a remote control and a note.
The note says: "You will die in this room. Unless you use this Portal device and follow where it leads you. Good luck."
As you press the button on the remote a shimmering blue, oval portal appears midair in front of you where you pointed the remote.
Step through it if you dare.
