I'll be living off soup for a while!
I like my noise over all, so I think I'll keep it despite the current annoyance ;)

Cortisols, NSAIDs, vitamins, call a sex line.

Seriously. I don't remember when I had cold last time. So I am not much of a help. Cortisols and nsaids (most basic painkillers are for fever only and vitamin C can cut off maybe 1 day out of suffering).

Try to sweat as much as you can. Take hot showers, drink a lot of water, and try to stay in bed.

Over sniffling. Get all the sniffles sniffled out so there's nothing left to sniffle.

In other words, clear your sinuses. My preferred method is to eat something steamy and spicy as a one-two punch, specifically spicy ramen.

I have been using the spicy approach too... sadly its only a temporary reprieve.

I have pretty bad dust allergies, so I'm always sniffling or have post-nasal drip. Drinking a lot of water to keep it from clogging up, hot showers, steam baths (towel over my head over a pot of steaming water) are about the only things that have helped with that symptom, apart from sleeping inclined, and maybe standing on your head. Vitamin C and zinc are supposed to help shorten the duration of a cold.

The big problem was I thought it was just allergies this morning so I took 12 hour allergy meds... so when it went full cold I couldn't take anything else without ODing! :(

One word: pseudoephedrine.

And if it doesn't work you could always start cooking up some meth i guess.

You tend to get sick of people even more if you work an IT type job!

I have been eating my home made overly vinegar-ed pickles... That's a similar briny idea.

I hope you don't put the pickles inside your nose O.o

Really strong ginger tea. I think the Trader Joe's one is okay or just boil ginger up like tea. Spicy and good for you.

Make a GA for the cold. Then gift your cold to the winner: he has to activate it within 7days. I know it's not the fastest solution, but it does work ;)

Theraflu works pretty well for me, I'm about to drink alot of it along with warm milk and honey for my throat because I think I just got the flu.

Easy, just stop breathing!

I wish it was that easy, I'm down with a runny nose and unable to breathe for the past few days now due to the worsening haze in SE Asia.
