Steam community is most likely experiencing issues. Set your profile to public, then try to sync a handful of times, it should go through one of the attempts. I need to rework that page to better display errors when Steam isn't working correctly.

Every time I try to force sync my account it comes up with this error message:
If you would like to force a refresh, please switch to a public Steam profile.
The problem is, my account is already public. I tried to edit my profile again and save the settings as public but alas it did not work. Is it just me that's having this problem or is it the same for everyone else?
I really wanna' sync my account as soon as possible since there's a group giveaway that's currently happening, however I cannot enter it. It makes me a sad panda. :(
