As a speedrunner of TSR, I can only recommend it if you already have Transformed, otherwise just buy Transformed as it's a much better game. :c

Is TSR good for single player? That's why I loved Transformed, it's actually fun playing it by yourself.

Reliance on AI teammates, rubberbanding, poor track design leading in constant, seemingly random losses of speed... The game is a mess in comparison to the prior Sonic kart racing titles. As the multiplayer servers are trash, it's basically a single player game to begin with.
All that being said: for $3.99USD I'd say it's worth it if you're a kart racer fan. It at least handles better than Garfield Kart, Coffin Dodgers, and All-Star Fruit Racing.

TSR story mode is more interesting since it has a plot and much more freedom, but the game itself is a downgrade so it doesn't help much
Time Trials in SASRT are definitely more fun, finally nailing all the stunts on Temple Trouble is a great feeling
