Didn't even log in for three days where as before with the flash sales and daily deals I was even logging in at 2am in the morning to make sure I didn't miss any of the flash deals whilst sleeping. Sure its been better for my sleeping patterns but I literally walked away with about a handful of games this time around when normally I would bought much, much more by now.

The fact they didn't even bother to make a proper event with it this time was really disappointing. It was like absolutely no thought went into it at all.

I had a whole lot of games I wanted to buy but the discounts on them where so abysmal (and no they were not brand new games) that I decided not to even bother with their 15/40% discounts. Decided to rather keep what Steam wallet cash I have left for Rise of the Tomb Raider and Dark Souls III when the both release early next year.

If they going to continue along this path (the new refund system has undoubtedly got something to do with it) then they shouldn't discount all the games at once but rather as they feature some of them on their front page to at least keep an air of mystery about the sale.

I am pretty new to Steam and I thought the deals where great

I think it's good enough. When it comes to events they been shite since some time, so nothing's got worse.

As I've said in other threads, the sales themselves have not actually been worse than previous sales, they've just removed a lot of the things that were designed to make you impulse purchase games you did not really want, and the things that would make you feel good about "making a good deal" (even if the deal was not all that good). So for the consumer, the changes have been for the better, for Valve the changes have probably been for the worse.

Idk, nothing compares to the excitement of fearing losing my account to hackers

Well they did announce last sale how all sales would work from now on. I do understand why they took out the old way of doing flash sales and daily deals as the new refund system probably made them a nightmare. But there still are special things they could try to do for the event. And at least the comic is kind've interesting.

It's ironic. Everyone wants steam keys for their games, but nobody wants to buy at steam itself anymore.

Haven't bought a thing this sale. Discounts are just too weak.

it seems as steam is under new management and the sale discounts are bad now along with a lot of bad changes and restrictions that have been made to steam

well.. there is actually a treasure hunt going on (https://www.reddit.com/r/steamsaledetectives/comments/3yu3cs/revelations_of_today/)
so this sale has probably more action than we think
