If you host a giveaway for a game that isn't a bundle game, if later it becomes a bundle game do you lose credit for the game or do you keep to keep the full value?

If the giveaway was made before the start of the bundle including it, the value is safe.

Unless the system was changed, what matters is when the giveaway ends. There have been some unfortunate cases when someone made a giveaway and the game appeared in a bundle before the GA ended.

Only if the bundle was already open. Stops people from doing giveaways for leaked titles for extra CV.

Pretty much what Delta already said.

Note that not the date when the game gets added to the bundle list matters, but the date associated with the bundle/game on that page.

Furthermore, the CV you received may drop nonetheless if the US Steam store value of the game drops.

Wow so if i buy a game for 60 bucks i won't get the full 60 bucks worth credit in time because eventually the games price will drop in steam?

It takes time for pricey games to have major price reductions. After a year or two, some $30-40 CV won't matter that much.

Why do you feel such a need to get something in return?

Can't you just be happy that you made someone happy?
EDIT: Reffering to the comment above, not the actual thread question.

Correct. Like anywhere else, you can't just rest on the original value. Most of the big gifters on this site have been it by it, and yet we still make giveaways.
