I once won a 1000$ giftcard for ASOS years ago, that was pretty nice. Otherwise Malboro sent me a ton of stuff since I gave them my address on a party the organized. They do the best parties, errmagerrd. Cigarettes, zippo, keychains, disposable camera, stuff like that. Some of which was actually won via their newsletter giveaways of sorts. Mh... Can't think of anything else.

A set of MSI stuff with the Interceptor DS200 mouse being the main prize, Creative Inspire T6060 speaker set.... some kind of Walkman MP3 player that's lost long ago... :( And some concert tickets, nothing fancy. Probably some other stuff I can't remember now.

Just being lucky i guess. O_O not so lucky in other places though.
It has been from all sorts of places, the bike i won from a shop in my town (which isn't that big), you had to follow a route, gather letters and make a word, i let some family members enter too which increased the chances.
The Alan Parson tickets i won calling a very small radio station.
The Hassle the Hoff thing consisted of playing 5 different games and just beat the best score, i was just being fanatic and good at it.
But like here on steamgifts, it's about increasing your odds, because you will always have alot more chance to win something.
You also have contests about writing or ending some sentence in an original way, lots of people who win on that too, i know there is a woman who won like everything in her house just by winning stuff, and even wrote a book about it.

Think it was a different woman then i talked about (couldn't find it) but that's taking it to an extreme, entering 400 a week. :o Yeah you could make some sort of "living" from it.

Well... If you mean winning in the race against millions and millions of sperms, in a frenetic race to get first inside the ovum.
Then yeah! I have won that! I evolved to be at the top of the food chain!
My past selves have made many sacrifices to reach where I am!
I am... GOD!
...
Nah, just a simple human being, like everybody else :3

I won a couple trivia contests through the mail, in the old days before you could just look up info on the internet. Got a t-shirt, a music album that was not released yet, & an autographed ice hockey jersey.
I also won a $300 Amazon gift card & free vacation to Florida when I was voted employee of the year at my old job.

It was a game-worn (not in an actual NHL game, though, but in a charity game or something) NHLPA jersey from Larry Murphy. Looks similar to this one:

A lot, some Manga's, collection of books, Thermaltake Level 10GT Case and 500W PSU, Kingston's Mobile Battery Charger thingy (I lost it though), some DVD's and Blu-Ray's, TMNT Trading Cards and a Scooter ( I was 10 ), gaming related; some PS4 games ( I don't own a PS4, I traded them for PC version and I gave Battlefront to one of my friends), some keychains (World of Tanks stuff), some softwares for 3-6 months (mostly antivirus' and VPN stuff) aaaand LOTS OF I mean REALLY LOTS OF movie tickets ( I don't remember the last time I paid for cinema).
Oh also, I won 100$ once and 50$ twice in lottery.
Yeah overall I'm an extremely lucky person, I keep winning stuff.

A lot. I don't even remember them all. Smartphones, a tablet (that was recent), a lootcrate (that was recent too), a lot of movie tickets, food, drinks, books, screen, mouse, keyboard, clothes, items from the Panathinaikos store (you know, shirts and other things), 2 skateboards (never used them), a music album, mousepads, a printer for my mobile, an hourglass (da f@ck?), and many other free items and free invitations that I don't even remember. My life is all about luck. Not only luck in winning things, but I'm generally lucky, hence my nickname. xD I still believe though that luck is all about grasping an opportunity when you see it. ;P

i live in Europe and i wish i could get out of it
Yeah, me too. Although not particularly leave europe, but at least get out of the Netherlands (I'm probably gonna live in England at some point, but let's first finish my study :p). It's getting worse and worse here...

To me that would actually be one of the countries in this world i consider an option, the mother of an old friend i know moved to Canada.
It seems very cold though in the winters, and while i hate alot of things in this country that is happening, i like the country still by itself, so i am afraid i'd still get homesick.
But whenever i win the lottery it gives me alot more chances and options. :p

I would say that I have below average luck on actually winning things, but I seem to come away with High Value. I pick and choose what I gamble/try for. There are two things I can think of that are noteworthy.
When i was in High School, I called in to a radio station while they were giving away/promoting Korn's newest album, Life is Peachy...I just realized this story is from nearly twenty years ago....ouch. We had to say something about our lives that was "Peachy," and the best story got to win the CD and get it before release. I was raised on Punk, Rock, Alternative Music, Classical, and Metal all because my Mother and My Aunt introduced me to them. As a kid struggling with Depression and Anxiety, one of my two sources of relief was music. And I had them to thank for a wealth and diversity of it.
The next time came at the one Pax East I was able to attend in 2012 at The Penny Arcade Forum After Paty Dinner....Thing. TPAFAPD...T. We were given raffle tickets as we signed in. I though nothing much of it, feeling like I would win nothing. Many drinks and videos games later, I found myself attempting to walk around with a Tauntaun Sleeping Bag. My drunken self was elated to have such a crazy thing, while my reasonable side shook in terror at thinking of how to get it on the plane!

Today i won a $100 giftcard to spend in a store that has alot of clothing (brand stuff) but they also have some computer stuff, think i will go for either a new mouse / keyboard or 2tb harddrive.
In the past i won a 700 euro bike, Mario Go kart race set, 400 euro worth on lottery tickets & David Hasselhoff shirts and trophy (he made a commercial for it and there was this contest about Hassle the Hoff) , a Philips Alarmclock that lets you wake up with bird sounds and gently increases the light, and probably some other stuff i forgot.
[Edit] Oh yeah a Furby too and concert tickets for Alan Parsons Project and 4-5 items i can't remember on 1 night at a bingo.
