So right down the road from me a new store called 2nd & Charles opened up just a few weeks ago. Right outside their door, there is a "free" bin where they periodically dump books, games, and more throughout the day.

Over the past few weeks I have acquired quite a few games from this free bin. Here is this week's haul:

Wow, really? There are some "new" games there. I mean, just by being PS3 games. Why do they do that? Stuck stock? :P

I asked that question last week! If they have an overabundance of titles that don't sell after awhile, they toss a few into the free bin.

So, is there a limit or you can literally clean the bin? :P

I'm going to assume the bin has no limit. It is being given for free, after all. Either way, that's an amazing idea. Businesses tend to hate giving anything away for free.

I tend to stop by whenever I work, sometimes twice or more a day, and grab whatever games they have and several books for my roommate. The stack of books I've gotten free is MUCH bigger than the free games stack.

The question is... will you be able to leave us Steam to play those? :P

I have... never seen that site before.
I wonder how I would fare.

Edit: Also, your link is broken.

Everything is manual, so some people don't like it, but it suits my needs. :)

PS: Fixed the link.

Aha, unfortunately not for me then, otherwise I would use up all of my time setting up my backlog rather than completing it. :P

Haha, yeah. I started it when my PSX/PS2 collection was bigger than my PC one... Before "bundles" were a thing... Alas...

Nice :o More shops should have free bins. Here they only have 'bargain' bins with expensive old games which no one bought :D lucky you!

you would think giving away copys of games they have to many of would just make it even less likely to sell any of the ones they keep to sell lol, but good for you man id set up a small hidden cam with wifi to watch the bin for me lol:)

Great find! Wish there were shops here that gave away PS3 games. Still sell well here so no chance of that.

And thanks for the GA :-)

A NEW store and what an abundance they have..

They deal almost solely in trade-ins. Anything in abundance is because people traded a lot in. Probably how CoD: Ghosts and Saints Row got out there in the free bin.

For anyone wondering about this store, it's a Books-a-Million owned version of Half Price Books. For anyone wondering, Books-A-Million is a Barnes & Noble with more pop culture merchandise and a Half Price Books is a GameStop with Books and DVDs and Blu-Rays and less games (but not to worry, they give you the same pittance...or less than...you get at GS for your stuff). 2nd & Charles seems kind of like HPB with less dicks working there, not sure about the prices at 2nd though since there isn't one anywhere near me (ok, saying HPB employees are dicks is not totally fair...out of the 4 near me one has a bunch of dicks with awful selection and awful prices (think eBay or Amazon plus 20 percent), one has a bunch of meh working with awful selection and meh prices, one has some kinda meh with decent selection and decent prices and one is awesome stuff with awesome prices (and a bunch of massive dicks)).

Also 2nd HAS to be better..because of this pic on their locations page (almost NSFW, but I won't fault anyone who saves this pic for later...ahem usage)

Dang, that's a pretty good round up. Tales of Graces for free? All of these games are at least decent, so I have to say I'm a little jealous... if they weren't for console. :3
