I love that song. It is now stuck in my head and I truly thank you for that.

Indie Gala? I don't think I've ever bought any bundles from there before. I never did get foil cards for any of the Sakura games.

It's a good bundle site for cheap games, i.e. think quantity rather than quality... :) Compared to Humble Bundle, Indie Gala bundles are less expensive - but you won't find as many games that you'd actually want to install. :) If you just want cards it doesn't matter, but I've heard that some people actually play their games... :) Crazy! :)
One interesting thing - the Indie Gala people are good about finding for each bundle a few (mostly crap) games that were never in bundles before. So even if you have a large pile of games in your account, it won't be 100% repeats like some other bundle sites...
Also there's a "happy hour" thing which is useful for people who make a lot of giveaways, or have a bunch of alternate Steam accounts I guess, since you can get four copies of the "happy hour" bundle instead of just one. Yay.

I was only missing one game from this bundle - which was simultaneously good news (hooray, a discount!) and bad news (why do I keep buying this garbage?) ... :)

If you like the Legend of Grimrock type of game, but you wish there were more boobies, you might want to get Sakura Dungeon the next time it's on sale. :) It's not as good as the "real" dungeon crawling games but at least it's something different. :)

I have still so many VNs and Jrpgs in my inventory that i tend in last time to buy only at 40-50% sales. Unless big Games that i plan to play soon. Like God Eater 2 and Attack on Titan. :3. Then theres still the newest Grisaia Game i need to get sometime. And many others in the 20€+ range that look promising.

I have in fact been eaten by a grue on at least one occasion...
Also I remember a game called CIA for the Commodore PET It had the worst parser possibly, it identified commands by checking the first three letters of the word. This led to some humorous parsing errors,
As for the latest near porn game, not my cup of tea, but apparently they are still making money off those games.

Wow, for no reason at all I was looking up the correct quote for "It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue." not one hour ago... :)
Zork 1 was the first game I ever bought, wish I'd kept it, not sure why though... I'd have needed to keep the computer too... :)
Hmm, I remember using a Commodore PET at school, don't know what I was doing but definitely nothing productive. :) Probably Temple of Apshai, unless I'm mixing up different video game memories... :)
Yeah, someone keeps buying these boobie games... Not sure why... :)

Me too, but somehow I doubt I'd have the patience for it today... :(
Sometimes I get the idea to look for an emulator to try finishing some of the old games I couldn't beat back in the old days, but I'd probably just get distracted or get stumped all over again. Or maybe I'd look for a walkthrough and ruin the whole thing. :(

I still have the Sakura bundle unactivated from IG. I just don't know what to do with them - activate for cards, give away - as I can't understand these games. Or any videogame that uses boobs to captivate the player - I play videogames for challenge, story or adventure, not to stare at drawn or animated pairs of breasts. There are so many sites on the internet for that, and it takes up much less time :D

I don't know how much the Sakura game cards are worth nowadays, since once something's been bundled you can barely give the cards away... :) But maybe people still try their luck for boobie backgrounds or something? Who knows? :) Guess I'm too lazy to check the market, sorry... :)
Yeah, I think if you can't find boobies on the internet you're doing it wrong... :)

It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it... :)
Sorry! :) Maybe one of these days I'll think of something original to say, but I wouldn't hold my breath... :)
If it's any consolation, I was going to give away Factorio or Offworld Trading Company or something like that, but I decided they looked too complicated... :) So I went with the same old boobie junk, as usual... :)

I love old text adventure games but I highly doubt that I'd ever have the patience to play them these days.

Well, there's only one way to find out! :) Or something like that. :)
Actually I seem to have the same problem... I used to be able to spend all day just reading, but now every 30 minutes or so I have to check if anything "important" is going on... Maybe I should just turn everything off, and see how long before I cry uncle... :)

Two cat girls appear before Toru, a skeptical priest in training. One of them carries herself with dignity and grace, while the other lives her days without a single care. With them, Toru slowly realises that there is more to this world than there seems.
That sounds like a quite exciting adventure!

Yes, I''ve played plenty of text adventures (or Interactive Fiction as the genre is now known) in the past. It's actually one of the things that helped me learn English. These days I get frustrated by the limited vocabulary and grammar most of them accept as input :/
If you're looking for a short one, I'd recommend 'Pick up the phone booth and die'

Somehow I actually finished the first Zork game, but I have no memory of finishing the next two... :( Which probably means I didn't finish them, and gave up, a very long time ago... :(
Fortunately they aren't on Steam, so I won't remember to feel guilty about it, unless someone happens to mention it of course. :)

Oh, they may be bad games, but they are completed bad games, which I think puts them ahead of all the abandoned greenlight garbage clogging the Steam drain... :)
Wonder if Winged Cloud are ever planning to make some survival crafting open world zombie nonsense... :)

Those lighter spots on their skin, surrounded by a red area... It still looks like all the characters suffers from some terrible skin disease.
As for playing text adventures? Sure, I've tried some. I've even made some (when i was learning how to program). Frankly, I'm not a big fan of text parsers in adventure games in general. It often devolves into guessing what words the developer liked when you try to play them.

Guess it's not exactly better than the shiny people disease, but at least it's different... :)
You know, I forgot about that... :) It's like playing hunt-the-correct-pixel in an old graphical adventure... :)
I was going to say nowadays it seems people won't put up with quite as much nonsense in their video games, but then I thought of all those crafting or map-icon-clearing games, dlc, micro-transactions, etc... and decided people still put up with nonsense, but different nonsense. :)

Was expecting a boobie game background, but google says it's Danganronpa which I don't think is a boobie game... Hmm, actually I haven't installed it yet so I don't know what it is... :(
Hey, no fair, your wishlist is 500 games... How can you keep track of all that stuff? :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah, I sold most of my boobie game backgrounds because they almost always go for a few dollars. Right now I alternate between Danganropa and Planet Driver, though my games are all NepNep.
I have such a backlog of these games to play through. I think the only one I played all the way through so far was High School Possession yet I own every Sakura title but Dungeon, Santa, and this new one.
Comment has been collapsed.
Aha, I just keep all my backgrounds and emoticons, which is silly since I never use them... :( And all that junk makes looking in my inventory take forever... :( Should probably sell all that junk and buy a few wishlist games... :)
Sakura Dungeon is pretty good, well, hmmm, maybe it's not good for a dungeon crawling game, but it's good for a Sakura game... :) You just have to lower your expectations, i.e. it's not Legend of Grimrock, or even Dungeon Master. :) And it's full of boobies. :)
I thought Highschool Possession was terrible, but at least it was short. :) Oh, I recently played Highway Blossoms, though it was pretty good, so if you already own it give it a try... :) Otherwise wait for a sale... :)

All Sakura games, HuniePop and such...
It's just for my collection ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It has gameplay at least, and I love the jewel kind of game so it was perfect.
HunieCam was fun, but not enough stuff to do.

I've played several text adventures ("interactive fiction" games), since I was right at that age. Unfortunately, for a while I lacked the computer to play it on, so I had to do so at my friends' houses.
And then I played the ultimate "interactive fiction" called MUDs.

It should. :)

Welcome to Steamgifts! I'm not a fan of anime either, but most of us try to be nice around here. :)

I call those sakura games "normie bait" - games for weebs who just started being weebs, and thus get a giant hard-on whenever they see word "sakura", because it's SO JAPANESE.... still, sooner or later, they'll go to a more decent VN like danganronpa and realize how shit sakura was.

Did someone mention text? I played a lot of the old infocom games.

The only two I know I finished are Zork 1, and the Hitchhiker's Guide game... I distinctly remember not finishing several, and some I just can't remember. :(
From reading about the game later, apparently the Babelfish puzzle was difficult, guess I was too young to notice though. :) Fewer distractions back then, and no Steam sales to put a new pile of random games in my library every week... :)

Sakura Shrine Girls! Oh boy! I bet this is finally the good one! :)
So, instead of asking you about that Winged Cloud nonsense, how about this... Have you ever played a text adventure? You know, the old kind of adventure game, from before graphics were invented? With typing and reading and drawing maps on a piece of paper?
No, I didn't think so. Nobody plays that sort of crap any more. Oh well.
Hmm... I know, maybe this will help: try a video of a text adventure: :)
