Girlfriend recently bought a PS5 Slim for my upcoming birthday and because I got PS Plus Extra, there are a ton of games, that were on my Steam wishlist, that I can now play with a subscription fee.
For Steam games, I mainly use BLAEO to track my backlog and games that I played, but sadly BLAEO doesn't allow me to manually add games.

Now that I have multiple different systems (Switch, PC, PS5), I'm thinking if anyone knows of a site or app where I can manage the games I have all in one? (don't wanna enter giveaways when I already can play it on my PS5)

Edit: Thanks for bringing Playnite to my attention, already set it all up with GOG, Amazon Games, Epic, Steam, and Playstation.

Gog galaxy does that. I did not use it for psn but they clearly have a plugin for it.

I use it for all ubi/prime/epic/ea/xboxlive.

And they have some others (it may be a bit tough to set some obscure ones)

Oh I actually did not know that, I have been using Heroic Launcher to sync and manage Amazon Games + GOG + Epic. I read up a bit about GOG Galaxy but seems like it's not really well maintained. Might move to Playnite instead.

I strongly advise to not use Gog Galaxy as a multi-fformat launcher. It's programming is really bad, it nestles itself deep inside your system and crashes as soon as you have too many games.

I strongly advise to use Playnite instead. It is customizable and has everything you're looking for and even more.

Woah thanks! Downloading it! Lovely!

Playnite is your all-in-one, open-source video game library manager and launcher. It simplifies your gaming experience by offering support for a wide range of third-party libraries like Steam, GOG, EA, Battle.net, and Ubisoft Connect, as well as emulated games. Playnite provides a unified interface in both Desktop and Fullscreen modes, allowing you to effortlessly organize and launch games. It also offers features such as playtime tracking and the flexibility to enhance functionality with custom add-ons and themes.

Thanks, exactly what I'm looking for. Surprisingly it didn't pop up when I tried googling.. Would be even more perfect if Playnite worked for the Steam Deck but I guess I'll stick to Heroic for my Steam Deck for now.

Another+1 for Playnite. It is what keeps my anxious mind at peace. The amount of configuration you can get through plugins and themes is insane, and it is incredibly well supported in the Discord

Saw the title and could only read Playnite. I think i never clicked quicker on a thread because i knew the 'answer' an was something i love recommending. Beyond core features theres also addons you can install straight from inside the app. I just somewhat regularly tell it to update libraries and the magic happens. I even got an addon for getting everything i have on itch.io (not only games) so i can also check the numerous assets and rpg books i have in itch all there (much quicker to search and browse then in itch)

Cant recommend it enougth.

I personally like using isthereanydeal to track my owned games because with the Augmented Steam browser extension, you can make it highlight games in your ITAD collection as owned on Steam. It's not really good for tracking retro or console only games though.

I like using HowLongToBeat to track my general backlog of games I want to play and complete, but that's because I just like tracking game times, and just like that it's easy to use, and looks pretty.

For here I just ignore games I own in other places so as not to enter giveaways for them.

For launchers I personally just use Steam's Non-Steam Game feature and Steam ROM Manager to help easily import stuff in Steam. This mostly has to do with the fact I like using features like Steam Input, Screenshots and now the recording beta. That being said, I totally +1 Playnite as I found it super customizable and the plugins support is amazing, allowing you to make things look how you want and being able to easily map as much or as little info you need for all sorts of games. I honestly got addicted just playing around with it and trying to perfect it. I wish both Steam ROM Manager and Playnite worked better with DRM-Free games not tied to a launcher though.

HLTB has been a staple for me recently since I like to roughly know how long it takes to complete a game. Thanks for the recommendations!

I use backloggery.com, but you have to enter everything manually. They just updated their backend to be more robust.

Having to enter EVERYTHING manually might be a bit too much for me, but thanks for the recommendation!

Yeah. I started it 10ish years ago in order to track physical console games, so it's a different kind of use case. It's a bit of a beast for my Steam collection. I just enter Steam games I've finished, or free digital games I know I want to play and are in an odd service like itch.io or Gog, so I don't end up paying for it after getting it free.

We kept forgetting which NES games we still owned, and I couldn't remember which AC games we had on which console. (Both Armored Core and Assassin's Creed :D ) This helped a lot

...from Reddit...

Playnite: The one with the most features and libraries available via addons and has a lot of options for customization. In my opinion the best one available for this purpose. Learning curve can be difficult for some people due to the amount of features and options and UX could be improved but you can refer to the manual, subreddit or Discord if you need help.

LaunchBox: Focused on emulation but has support for some of the most popular PC storefronts. Has some features, including the Big Picture Mode (Controller mode), locked to the paid version. Also be aware of RAM usage, last I checked it used a ton of it because loads the images for all the games in your library but that may have changed.

Heroic Games Launcher: Support is limited to Epic, GOG and Amazon but the advantage is that it can manage their games itself without the need of their own launchers.

One Game Launcher: Works as a Windows widget. Supports the most popular stores and while features are limited, it should work if you don't need more "advanced" features other than viewing and launching games.

Alfae: Supports a limited number of stores and doesn't seem to have support for more advanced features like filtering, which in my opinion is a very important feature.

GOG Galaxy: Unfortunately integrations quality leaves a lot to be desired, with some having bugs and others not working. I also have some issues with the client, like performance tanking once you have a few hundred games in it. It also seems that the client is no longer being only actively developer and remains in basic maintenance mode, with some updates from time to time to improve stability.

The thing is... Playnite/Galaxy are for PC games (and by extension Xbox in some ways). Neither of them can be used on PlayStation however, and from what I understand you want to view your PlayStation library too...
Correction: While Playnite can only run on PC, it can still log your PlayStation library (using an add-on).
Someone mentioned backloggery.com, that's closer to what you're looking for. Yes, manually entering stuff is going to be a bit long and annoying, but that will be the only way to get all your games from PC/Xbox/PlayStation/Switch and anything else.
Alternatives are backloggd.com and HowLongToBeat.com (I personally use the last one, didn't like the previous, didn't try the first).

Heya. Happy cakeday :)

Nevertheless, this info is wrong. You are running Playnite on your PC but it connects to the other platforms and fetches the information. So you can see all your Playstation games within the app running on your PC.

Oh, I see. I stand corrected, then.
Do you know if the Playnite database can be easily transferred (as in, if you reinstall Playnite on a different PC, considering it doesn't have cloud data)?

Yes.
You can just copy or move the folder. I already did that once after a disk crash, zero problems. The folder can be pretty large, tho, depending on how many games you own. My library folder is 24 GB, for example.

Oh, dang. There is a way to entirely disable images and only keep the library text-based, right? Right?

I am not 100% certain (because I never tried), but I guess it is possible since there are several options to disable images in the corresponding view and also an option to not automatically download missing images and not to preload images.

But just to be sure, my game numbers are NOT normal XD So most users library folder will be significantly smaller!

That's what I was thinking about, I don't know any sites that will automatically tell you what you own. I think GOG does it to some extent, but that's all I've ever seen. You could try something like Playtracker.net, it will show you Steam/GOG/Epic/PSN/Xbox/etc., but for PSN/Xbox it only shows you things you've actually played.

I've been wanting to find a backlog thing like BLAEO that supports PSN/Xbox and such though, that'd be dope.

Edit: definitely going to check out playnite though.

Ok, so I just downloaded Playnite based upon all of the recommendations here, and it looks really cool. I can't use it yet, though, because it's still parsing through metadata for my library...and it's been doing that for almost two hours. And it's less than half done. Once I combined Steam/GOG/XBOX/UBI/EA...hooo boy.

I've come to the conclusion that I own too many games. 🤣🤣🤣

It'll be a drop in the bucket at this point, but since you can manually add things, I'll eventually need to get all of my Atari cartridges and PS/2 discs added into the collection as well. LOL

Btw, if you need to interrupt the metadata download (or if it crashes), you can resume it later using Ctrl-D. Make sure "only download missing metadata" is ticked.

I'll eventually need to get all of my Atari cartridges and PS/2 discs added into the collection as well.

Don't forget about ROMs if you have any. Playnite can scan ROM directories for you. Ctrl-Q is the relevant shortcut.

I've come to the conclusion that I own too many games. 🤣🤣🤣

Nah. All of us here own a very reasonable, dare I say modest, amount of games :P If anything, we need MOAR!

I decided to reopen the old thread https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/lKZuz/playnite-the-one-launcher-to-rule-them-all-yes-including-steam-yes-including-gog-galaxy, since there is renewed interest in Playnite.

Discussions about Playnite could be held there, since this thread here was a user asking for a tool and he got his answer.
Just a thought :)
