You are too slow. I already got my 20th Skyrim copy from OP's puzzle. There was even Barbie along the way!

kinkami is like "player [number] has joined the game" and is already catching up to everyone. :D

Awwr shit I got the motto mixed up, I thought we were all mad here.

Have you sacrificed the neccesary amount of virgins?

It depends on the entries of the giveaways you enter. Of course, you can also win in a giveaway with 5000 entries, but it's much easier to win in a giveaway with 5 entries.

Yeah you can usually find me at the awesome events as well.
Kerros' Labyrinth, Adventures of Adlez, Zork, Nordhbane's "Puzzle Agency Pyramid HQ", Morshock's "Down the Rabbit Hole".

only the same users win.
I cannot find the site that shows some stats on how many users one won games from and the other way around, including "top scores" of who are one's most frequent winners are… but when I was around 3000 keys sent, I had around 2500-ish different winners with one guy winning 6 from me as a record-holder. While the site RNG seed seems to be uneven, as many people have experienced luck to come in bursts (as in, they don't win anything for months, then constantly on a regular basis with the same chances), public giveaways tend to show some evenness.
Also, don't forget, that there are nearly one MILLION users here and roughly 1.2 million public giveaways were made ever. Meaning, on public giveaways, you win one game on average during your entire time on this site. (Actually, should be around 2-3, factoring in the user boom and the number of inactive ones, but even that isn't such a high number.)

Totally crept up on me this year. I didn't even realise myself at first v_v but thanks! :D

depends what you're giving away, if it's something lots of people already own, the people winning are likely to be those guys who only own the bare minimum required to join and enter every giveaway.. I've sent a ton of games, but don't think I've had the same person win more than once.. I never blacklist people.. well unless they beg for stuff or give out false reps for no reason

I don't know, could be some glitch in the system which gives some people an unfair advantage but I've never noticed it.. I hardly think it is intentional.. Could be something in the RNG that is favoring some name or profile ID's more than others..

Just do the math and calculate the probability to win in public giveaways.....

It's a pyramid scheme, clearly. I've never won in the 4 years I've been here

Being you, you're likely intentionally misstating it, but for the sake of general clarity: The site would have to have one of those bs 'earn points for every friend you recruit' elements to be a pyramid scheme, since the foundation of a pyramid scheme is based on offering incentives for the recruitment of new individuals.

I've tried so hard to understand how it could be one, using this guy's logic and I've failed every time.

With enough mercury in your system, I'm sure you could appreciate the outlook of that sort of mentality.

Holly crap, I've just read this, this is insane. On a side note, the last comments are hilarious :)

lol, and that guy is still using this site. He just gave away a game last week, I guess he bought into the pyramid scheme. He is online right now :)
Edit: Konrads has even posted there asking for help to be unbanned, haha.

What are you talking about? I have won several pyramids.

Admittedly you seem to have been out of luck. Usually people win around their 1000th entry, or maybe latest at their 1500th. 2000 entries without a win is a bit harsh. What can I say though. Gotta keep trying.
Did you read Delta's guide to winning on SteamGifts, for new users yet?

Pantcho, your frustration is understandable, but as others have pointed out the odds for the most giveaways are VERY small. It requires thousands of tries before actually winning something (though 2000 and no win does seem a lot...).
That said, know that you have already done more than most newcomers, by actually creating giveaways and rising to Level 1. Look in the Discussions for the Unlucky-7 thread (EDIT: added the link at the end of this post)... request an invite there to join the group, it was created exactly to help people reach their first 7 wins. Be sure to check their rules, they just require good SG behavior.

It's because of ArchiBoT who has assimilated the SG AI.

You've had about 2000 entries in a whole three weeks of trying.
If most of the giveaways you are in have thousands of entrants, you're not even statistically overdue for a win yet.
If you've entered private, puzzle, or group giveaways, then yeah, you might be due. All you can do is keep trying.

nothing going on here, moving on, Ministry of Truth had say that

I've been here for a bit and I believe I've only won 1 Giveaway that had over 900 people, excluding the mass giveaways. Chances to win these big public giveaways are very low.
Unlucky 7 is a good group as suggested above.

So are you. :Þ
That aside, I think Dude just needs to get the formula right.

If you want to know how lucky or unlucky you are you can check your stats on the bottom of the site. If you really want to win games the best way is to up your level, Participate to puzzles and enter giveaways on the forum instead of public GA. With all this combined you'll surely win a lot of games. And you could also have a positive luck stat doing all of this.

You can die by signing up for sweepstakes that will never win anything ... only the same users win.
