Would you approve of official Steam Profile Themes?
Please explain how this is different from profile backgrounds?

That was the theme steam gave to some people during the hollydays. It basically edits the HTML on the profile and adds some neat effects. Now imagine that based on your favorite game.

I wouldn't mind this, actually, if only because I already have the foil badges for two of my favorite games.

If you get the theme for foil badges you already own, it might be an idea worth thinking about.

Even IF this thing is happening, they probably won't backtrack who has foil badge or not.
It will probably be a thing for new badges only, plus if this happens it's not even sure the devs of the foil badge you already have has some profile theme ready yet.

Other thing i suggested is removing level cap from badges, and instead add a % that once oyu craft a badge a theme will drop as a reward from normal sets, and the higher your badge level, better would be the odds for dropping... like 10% drop chance for ever 5 badge levels...
But i doubt they read that shit on official forums.

I'm all in for the profile theme idea, but not really for the idea of a % instead of badge level.
It could be like the different profile background, when you craft a badge sometimes you get a common one, sometimes a rare one, it could be added into the mix and count as a rare thing that has the same chance of rare background to drop?
(I have to say i didn't know this was a thing before this thread, the only thing i knew was the box color you could change with Steam Enhanced)

I don't know... i think 2014 christmas theme was a test for something bigger, i got a feeling that profile themes are comming oficially soon.
I suggested once that developers and steam worked together so that completing a Foil badge would give that person a Theme of that particular game to apply on your profile...
I want that so bad
