I'm sure they're not hating on SG. Just being a bit sarcastic. It's really more a problem of 'supply' on SG compared to TF2R.

Also if you really look at the numbers currently anyways, I entered a few game giveaways. They were limited to 1200 and 2500 entries. Which to be honest is pretty much what most of the 'popular' ones here end up being. So your odds aren't really 'better'.

The only equalizers I suppose is that there's no points system, but then it rewards 'lurkers' since the slots fill up pretty quick. Pros n cons on both sides.

Let's also not forget the actual values of the things being traded. No matter how much they actually charge for them, TF2 items aren't really worth anything since the ones that actually have an effect on the game (weapons) can be obtained for free by simply playing the game, while the ones that can only be gotten by buying them are purely cosmetic.

What did I win from TF2R?

  • a refined metal
What did I win from Steamgifts?
  • DEAD ISLAND
  • The Whispered World
  • Blocks that Matter
  • Alpha Protocol
  • Serious Sam HD: First Encounter
  • Psychonauts
  • World of Goo

So, what's worth more? I think 1 refined is worth more. It's like 200 dollars per ref! TF2R ALL THE WAY!

The only thing TFR.com has that is superior to SGIFTS is their Hall of shame list. It's a nice reminder for idiots.
Also it's quite entertaining to read.

Not to sound mean, but out of 500+ entries the past months, I've only won once here.

Out of 75 entries on TF2R, I've won 5 times in the past two days.

It's mostly correct.

Yeah because the amount of people who want to win games is the same as the amount of people who want TF2 items.

That just means you've been lucky, like some other's on this site have.

Out of 205 entries, I've won twice there. One was a crate...

They have limited ammount of entries and can make a quick raffle, putting it to end in 10 minutes. We can't do it here. The chance is bigger there, but the prize is a lot better here. I won like... 2 guns... and some crates.

Gotta say, I like the notification system a lot better. It'd be nice to know when my giveaways are over without having to go check them all the time. A big blinking number or something in the corner would be helpful.

They have no point system, so one can enter EVERYTHING that is currently open. And they are giving away TF2 items, which you get for FREE by playing the game, thus making it easier for people to give stuff away vs buying games and putting them in here. They have a costant flow of new giveaways in there, while often in here there are long dead periods (no sales or whatever).
So yes, its much easier to win there, but what do you win? Chances are, it will most likely be weapons or crates, or if you are REALLY lucky, a hat. But do you rather use your luck on a hat, or a game?

A hat ofc too. Bcs if it is a good one, I can get a game for it lol.

Oh you guys, we're only joking.
It was more a bash at the recent influx of game raffles we've had on the site while it was designed for TF2 items.
