"Causing many (myself at least) to be unable to enter every giveaway."
Thats a good thing. Less entries/giveaway is better for everyone. I also missed quite a bunch that i wanted to enter but i'd rather have a bigger chance to win than more entries per giveaway

Yeah definitely, I agree with that, there's pros and cons both ways, I've made giveaways myself that I specifically created to limit the number of entries. So it wasn't a frustrated critique as much of a notion I felt inclined to share with the community. It's all good!

Yeah exactly, pro's and cons both ways. Years ago when i first joined (before trains were a thing) i created forum giveaways but i posted the links when there was maybe 15 minutes left, just to lower the entries and up the chances people would have.

Hah, yeah when you put it like that. Honestly though, it was less to do with me and my desire to better efficiently enter giveaways than it was for the community. I'm happy either way, I love making giveaways for people to get a chance to win a game they want, and I'm grateful for others who do the same. I have enough of a backlog as it is!
And yeah that's usually what I do if I'm ever in a "points jam", I just go after the ones I want most, or sometimes will undo previous ones weeks away to get more points for the moment.
But truly, this was less about me and wanting to win games and more about the community at large, and how bundle-rush giveaways are such an onslaught the first few days and then two weeks later users might rarely seem them again, which is absolutely okay. Just wanted to share my thoughts! :D

You're not wrong, it wasn't by any means a doctrine or demand but rather just wanted to put it out there in the ether of the community. And it certainly isn't a "plan" in that sense.
As I mentioned to someone else I have a lot of games as it is, and I personally love giving away extra or leftover games myself to the community, sharing the love! So I can't argue with that when others are doing the same for me, it was just a thought.

I was just pointing out the flaw of the logic in use here. Just look at the triple A titles, that are out there for more than a week. They all have 7K+ entries.... Not sure how much your chances would improve with any of those, instead of the shorter 2 hour long giveaways with a few hundred entries.

Yeah I agree with that, It's not necessarily about having them for the future weeks away, because I agree with that, see a 'PlayerUnknown BattleGrounds' a week or two away and there's like 10 thousand or so entries! However, the ones I do like are the ones that people post after those rushes to be given away within a day or a handful of hours, and that rewards those who check the site for points/entries/wins regularly and attentive to those pop-up GAs. There are pros and cons to both, but yeah you're right in that the ones that are created but weeks or many days away make the odds of a user winning that title significantly decreased.

LOL! Such a great gif.
Yeah it might have been a vapid idea, but it was merely just an idea, not a command or mandate. I love the community and I am grateful and happy to giveaway my own games as it is. Just thought I'd throw some shit at the wall to see if it sticks or stinks, no harm no foul either way!

Okay, fine by me, really! It was just an idea. Perhaps a bad one, but one I felt worthy of expressing nonetheless, for better or worse!

Nah im hoarding a dozen 60p gas that i will make all at once with 1 hour left, private, and drop the link some 20-30 minutes later.
Just joking.
I feel you but the way points generate things normally balance out. I have seen some bad spots but when a flood of high gas happen people are marking received quickly as well and thus theres also a flood of points.
Way more then i can spend btw

Yes! Well put, I have my own mini strategies to use the points and giveaways wisely. I fully realize my post or idea (which itself is hardly original) but that it's not something that can be controlled nor should it. And I as another user noted about getting points the more GAs there are and so I suppose it's a bit of a give and take (literally) in that regard.
I think the thing too is I have a lot of games and I have a lot intentionally wishlisted so I can see them here when or if they're ever given away, so there's the moments when the giveaway floodgates are quite voluminous, and then the moments when it's back to the same old collection of games yet to be won but often given away.
So the idea or concept was, perhaps futile to change, a potential means by which we as a community can spread out that love so some of those sought after bundle-rush games either don't get so lost in the mix and are maybe able to be even more cherished weeks or months down the line.
And as I said, there's no demand or mandate to have this practice become standard at all, just a thought/idea/suggestion to the betterment and for the benefit of the community.

First off, thank you for the opportunity to win some games, it's always great seeing the onslaughts of giveaways once a new bundle is released. However with some of them having such a large point-cost, it creates a quick drain on the points and prevents some from being able to enter into those giveaways (for better or worse) because the points are being so quickly spent.
So, my humble community request would be to remind those awesome people who giveaway the games others seek, but I would ask if those who do that might space out those giveaways a little, so in a week or two when the big bundle rushes let up and goes back to the usual volume of giveaways and point allotment dispersal etc, users in the community will be able to take part in the action!
tl;dr: After bundle releases, if you want to giveaway your leftovers, try to wait maybe a week or a handful of days after the post-Bundle-Giveaway-rush, some of these games that are 30-60 points to enter in really clears them out quick. Causing many (myself at least) to be unable to enter every giveaway one may desire.

--EDIT: I realize this may be a futile idea, but it was just something I wanted to share with the community.
PLUS This has caused me to want to make a giveaway or two tonight, out of my barter list, which game(s) would you all want to see most?

Thanks, have a good one!
