I don't think they could even see the whitelist giveaway I had.
They cannot. Nor, if they click on it through your profile, can they tell that they would have access, as any non-access prompt preempts being able to view the giveaway.
Likewise, unless you blacklisted them first, they've already made the decision that interacting with you doesn't suit their preferences, to the degree that games can't encourage them to do such. You offering them whitelist games isn't likely to change that fact, as it's just more of what they've already decided they don't need.

If only I was as wise as you Sooth. Took way too much of my time to realise this T_T
Those countless hours scrolling through old threads trying to find the users... ESGST helped a great deal, but still.
and true, but my current giveaways are a lot different to my old giveaways. the value/quality has in no way been constant.

I'm with EpicKK on this one. I have no idea why people have you blacklisted, but I feel you put some effort into trying to "mend fences," so I'm whitelisting you, too (albeit temporarily). And unlike EpicKK, I am trying to get my WL giveaways up this very day.

I almost fully cleared my BL 2 years ago and most are already on my BL again. I even had some who blacklisted me, then un-blacklisted me so they could ride my SGTools trains and after the train ended blacklisted me again. ^^
In the end it's better to just leave your BL like it is.

I agree and you're also right, ESGST does work, knocked 16 out of the equation in the last 2 weeks; most of them active ones. ;-)

Both WL and BL can hold a 1000 users so a BL with a few tens or a hundred users is still a small BL. I also don't tolerate that and I thank those very nice and totally not hypocrite users by giving them a permanent BL.
And the reverse isn't possible because I'm using this script so I don't enter a giveaway from someone I blacklisted.

Heh, "few tens or a hundred"? Wow, that seems huge to me. My BL is only 3 from 4-5 months ago. Two were abusive towards me after winning my giveaways, and the third was being a real jerk towards others. I haven't felt the need to add anyone else since.

Small in comparison with the maximum of 1000 users. :-)
But I do recall users asking for more than 1000 BL entries because they had no BL space left and there's even a script out there that let's you see who are the permanent banned users in your BL so you can remove them to have more BL space.

With ESGST and also manually, I do a simple BL check of each winner. It's just a couple of mouse clicks when I'm checking my winners and sending out the gifts.
Btw this isn't an urban SG myth because I managed to catch in my last 9 trains 8 such beauties who clearly know there's a discrepancy between the two-way blacklist duration of one week and the maximum giveaway duration of 4 weeks. Myself and others asked for, in one of CG his threads, that the two-way blacklist duration would be set equal at 4 weeks; but this hasn't happened.

Almose fully cleared my BL...I don't remember when. Never regret about it and never added new users to it (sometimes I felt an urge to do it, though).

As with the way or manner to make giveaways, the WL and BL are individual and personal choices and opinions.

I thought they implemented block to prevent that. You can't enter giveaways of person you unblacklisted for a certain number of days. I have around 50 people on my blacklist. Mostly people who never touched their wins. I even have you on my bl, but with my ga numbers people don't loose much, so whatever.

Guess Sooth already explained everything :)
I actually just watched parts of the first season of Overlord. I switched to "And you thought there is never a girl online" at that time and totally forgot about Overlord (especially because the amount of time I spend on watching movies/series is quite limited). Thanks for reminding me of it. :3

Not everything!
:tangents into a discussion about how to properly make a quiche:
-
Second season of Overlord is only an episode or two in- so you may be better off waiting, if your tendency is to binge-watch.
While it's also only just starting on its second wave of releases, Sword Art Online Abridged is also a recommendable 'game' series (though, as with most abridged series, it's far more mature in content than the original work). Of course, if you haven't tried the actual SAO series yet, you should certainly give it a try first.

I watched two seasons of SAO so this might be something I could look for... :)
Also you're right: I mainly watch series which have all episodes available already or atleast most of them so they could be released until I watched the previous ones.
My main issue is that I tend to use legit streaming platforms without having to use a tunneling service. I even thought about a crunchyroll subscription but as far as I know the mobile app is having issues and some stuff might not even work for german users. For now I just stick to youtube, amazon and netflix watching series like "Inuyashiki Last Hero".

if it makes you feel better , i will never blacklist you.
you are cool in my color book.

So if i i say something mean (like Gohan in cell saga is the best character in DBZ) maybe i end up on your blacklist and after a while i go in your whitelist? Sounds fair ehehe
JK
I am not that active and don't do many giveaways for people to notice me xD

This user whitelisted users who blacklisted them, you won't believe what happened next

xD
Here, have a WL from me. It is essential that you have learned something from this, so not all effort is wasted. Soon you will advance to another level, gathering enough experience.

I guess they didn't even know you've whitelisted them cos blacklist works both ways now = once they blacklist you, they're automatically blacklisted back by "you" = they don't see your giveaways even if you've whitelisted them = they are not aware of the whitelist.
Probably

Hmm. While I'm certainly no advocate for them, I do see some good in them. They definitely incentivize(?) many people to act mature and civil on the forums (for fear of being blacklisted). I feel like if there were no blacklisting we'd get a lot more "controversial" posts, and to put it lightly; blunt users and comments. But having said that, I feel like they also create an incentive for people not to share their opinions. Because there are definitely many who blacklist because of differing opinions.

I dunno what I was expecting, I don't think they could even see the whitelist giveaway I had.
I'm an idiot.
Here's a quick giveaway though
