Why do people post thanks?

The winner is picked randomly by the site.After, the creator need to give them the game they won.
People post "thanks" because it is nice/polite.(Now everyone is posting "thanks' so it become something like spam...)

Neither, it's a courtesy to the creator for giving away a game.

Why do people keep making why do people post thanks? threads all the time ?

its because we're thankful the creator of the giveaway is giving away a game when he or she doesn't have to, affording us the opportunity to win a free game.

anyway I post a "thanks" usually even tho i think it's kinda silly , but i can't think of something original to say every time I enter a giveaway :P
