Steam promotions

You can most definitely run ARK, but you may have to turn a few settings down to achieve a consistent 50-60fps.
Even with some of the settings dialed back, the game looks gorgeous and is a lot of fun (I only have about 130 hours in it lol).

Steam winter sale is until Jan 2 . If game is badly optimized it will run bad even on nasa's computers so..other than that your specs are more than enough.

you can run it fine, i'm on the same cpu and only 960m but both mobile versions (laptop) and ran the game fine ~10months ago when it was even less optimized. as for the sale lasting till the 2nd i'm unsure on each and every deals exact discounts, whether they will remain the exact same discount or not thru-out the whole sale, but it certainly will have a % off the whole time.

Got i7 4790, 16GB ddr3 and gtx970 and the game could run well last summer. It's true that the game is not that optimized (or atleast used to, as i haven't played it in a year), but back then they did quite a lot in optimization over the few weeks i played. So you can expect to run it just fine.
