Steam doesn't give anything away themselves. It's totally up to developers whether they want to give away. And steam doesn't need to "bribe" people to use their launcher.

Epic is paying publishers for the copies they give away. Just so they can get people to join and use their launcher. Either it's for simple number of users or trying to get someone to spend money at their store, it's only a business decision. And that will stop once Epic has reached it's targets.

Comparing steam and epic in this regard is like day against night. Totally different circumstances.

99% of them were bundled and they aren't that expensive.
I don't think they ever gave away games worth more than 10€.
Well, maybe 2 or 3 but that doesn't change the fact that Epic is the worst company out there.
And all those those exclusives...

Guess what? Neither Epic or Steam cares about you. The only reason Epic is giving away games is to get a bigger market share. As soon as (if) they've obtained that, they won't give away any games anymore.

Which one didn't ban a persons account for buying "too much" stuff during a summer sale
Which one bribes with free games worth not much because of keys sites and exclusive deals that last for a year only

Personally prefer steam, but what does that matter xd
