Buying yet another VR bundle?
One of the VR's affordable toys. You stream your game into your smartphone that is inside a Cardboard (see the pics below).
Trinus VR app costs $9,99 so you can save a bit and enjoy a lot if you are a enthusiast! I mean, its great for racing games, i have a steering wheel and played Project Cars, also The Crew, GTA V and it's really cool. You have your movements limited, but it uses the Gyro for mouse simulation so if you look at the right, the "mouse" goes to the right and your char looks at the right too!
Everyone should try this one, i'm thinking about create a thread about it, what do you think?

That's why I'm going for an affordable controller now, and possibly getting an HMD (or a full kit) in a year or two. I'm already playing some VR games with my Cardboard headset and VRidge. (As long as it's played with a controller or KB+M I'm good.)

It's surprisingly good. I haven't had the chance to try the Vive to compare, but it's sufficient for me now. (It's definitely better than not being able to play the VR games altogether.)

Are there even any non-indie VR games that are not just some converted ones or techdemos? I only recall RE7, and even there mostly the first third has any reason to do so (and has myriads of "oooooh, look at me, I'm so VR" moments in return).

There don't seem to be any so-called "AAA" titles developed specifically for VR, although games like DCS World, Elite and Project Cars have had VR bolted on, and to surprisingly good effect. Golf Club VR is also arguably a reasonably high profile game with a dedicated VR version, which is well worth a purchase if golf is your bag.
Have played a few really good VR Indie titles, but they are all but lost in a sea of dreck. Too many 5 minute tech demos and lurching "baby's first VR game" nausea fests..
Tilt Brush and Google Earth VR are also good longer term (ie hours, not minutes) experiences IMHO, as are Golf Club VR, Sports Bar VR, Being Axel Rix (a football based heading game), several of the table tennis simulators, and a number of the racing sims.
Beyond sports and tech demos though, VR is a long way from finding its feet. Perhaps the release of Playstation VR will help speed up the evolution of VR in gaming (assuming it's not going to be another white elephant), and focus the minds of devs into creating new worthwhile experiences in a VR environment outside of the obvious applications of simulators and sports-lite games.

I was missing 9 games and the 10' one I won on SG. ^^
