what's the GOTY of 2012?

GOTY is a weird discussion in the first place. It implies that one game can be the best. There were too many good games this year anyway. :)

Considering how good games where last year compared to this year I would say non of them can be game of the year.

But if you really need to have a best of the best pick one: Hitman(No. 10+): Abosolution, Far Cry 3, Mass Effect 3, Borderlands 2, Diablo 3, Dishonored, X-com Enemy Unknown . For me the winner would be Dishonored as it is the only game that is a new IP so it had the harders time getting players.

Only good game I've played from this year, I believe, is Scribblenauts Unlimited, and that won't even be released in my area in 2012. That says something.

BF3 is still my GOTY, i play it everyday since 2011 but.. for this year, Dishonored would be my GOTY, Farcry 3 has many problems
