A good non-official giveaway method?

I have a key I want to give away but I don't know of any way to make it fair since I can't use the official giveaway thing on the website.
Does anyone know a legit way to make a giveaway that doesn't involve the actual site?

I want to make a giveaway on the forums :P But I keep hearing about people just jumping in and taking it just to have it, but I guess either way that's possible so it's a moot point.
