Oddworld Strangers Wrath HD

So, this is new? they made a rerelease without telling someone?
my steam just started an update on strangers wrath, its called strangers wrath hd,
whats behind this whole story? my game got a new hd update ? they still work on oddworld games ? wtf?
do they eventually work on a new oddworld game?

Just today started this game on ps3 (it's free with ps plus). How can they call it an oddworld game?!?not a bad game,but another type of game..Anyway,glad to read that a new oddworld game is coming ;-)

it isnt like the classics , but neither was munchs odysee, the whole abe stuff is about this universe. its pretty awesome. SW is a really great but underestimated game, nevertheless they still give out FREE updates on it (like upgrading it to the PS3 version).

Munch is the lonly that i dont have. I loved the first two on ps 1. Stranger wrath is nice..but do you remember what did you say me about fallout 3 ,days ago?the same..big change make you dislike a game for its name and disappointed hopes..

haha yh, i mean if you expected it to be like abe 1 or 2 its a big disappointement for sure, but just give it a try for its own its okay, as you see i also play fallout 3 even if i hate it for being called a "fallout" :P
its a good game even if you hate it for destroying one of your favorite franchises in the way you loved em

I too am missing Munch's Oddysee. I have the original games on Steam, and Stranger's Wrath on XBox.

No loss though, I've played MO, and I just didn't like it.

Munch's Oddysee is like the classics. All of the original mechanics are there, it's just in a different perspective. Strangers Wrath is totally different.

Is the update still going to be steam exclusive? "This offer is ONLY available to Steam users." http://forums.steamgames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2460212 or will GOG purchasers be getting it also? No notice on GOG today nor does it say the game was updated for me. If not, guess I know where I'll have to get my game updated from.

idk about this but the whole oddworld pack was on sale recently, you should have grabbed it on steam i guess

Thanks for the heads up! :) I remember the devs also promised Munch's Oddysee HD to follow after Stranger's Wrath HD release.

The game was finished a few good years ago. They had no obligation to make an HD update. The fact that they made it free for previous owners is great!

It was not finished 2 years ago. Lanning gave up and gave it to JAW to make it the way it was supposed to be. MO HD will also eventually be in a free update.

They are still working on it, unlike Stranger it hasn't been released on any platform. I don't know if it will be a free update for current owners.

I'd expect it for Christmas, but we'll see.

Nice, was waiting for the HD update so I could play Strangers Wrath. Original version crashed at start up and nothing solved it, works great now. Thanks for the heads up, completely forgot to keep track of this update.

Liking the update so far. Still some issues with camera controls. And there are still quite a few bugs in it. Definitely better than what it was before though.

Awesome! I want to buy Stranger's Wrath now, I'm wondering if there's a way to buy the oddboxx and redeem Stranger's Wrath and Munch's Oddysee for myself and gifting the other two games (I have them on playstation) Can anyone offer some direction?
