Should I use "Steam Desktop Authenticator"
The desktop authenticator and WinAuth both have automated confirmation which is very helpful. I would use one of those two instead of an Android emulator and the real mobile authenticator.

I personally use the desktop authenticator, but you need to make sure you use the latest beta version of WinAuth for the feature. I hope that somebody that uses WinAuth can answer you how to exactly do it.

I went to look up the github page of it. I think the next version is fixing it to work 'work' better. It noted that it would confirm existing trades along with new trades, but I tried to get auto-confirmation to work but it didn't for me. I also can't figure out how to get the option for auto-confirmation to show up again. Maybe the newer beta version will fix this, though.
trades= market listings

Nice sharing, I'm using Mobile Authenticator is a bit hassle for me, as I don't have mobile data.

Not sure if you're asking me to share this, but just in case this is where I got it from: https://github.com/Jessecar96/SteamDesktopAuthenticator

Do you know if this message is talking about the program itself or just the source files?
"Clicking "Download ZIP" will not work! This project uses git submodules so you must use git to download it properly.
Using GitHub Desktop is an easy way to do that. "
It seems kind of strange that you would have to download some special Github Desktop program just to download a program, but that message is unclear.

Eeev could you please give me a download link to that tool?
Also could this help me as I don't use a smartphone and for the moment Steam put's every steam market transaction (mostly backgounds, emoticons and boosters) I do on 15 days hold?

Of course: https://github.com/Jessecar96/SteamDesktopAuthenticator
And yes, it does help with that problem. You're even able to activate "AutoConfirm", so you don't have to confirm each and every trading card you want to put on the market.

Thank you so much Eeev, I will try to use this as for the moment my market transactions are totally useless thanks to the 15 days Steam prison. I have very few cards to put on the market but I have hundreds of backgrounds, emoticons and boosters to put up and as I'm old school I dislike devices like smartphones.

Ohhhh Eeev!!!! I'm not a deviant but i could hug you so much now!!! I really thought myself and the Steam market would go the way of the dodo!!! But even with my not so great PC software or limited knowledge I downloaded your link, installed it and set it up confirm with the instructions found on your download link and I just set up my first market transactions and it's like (maybe) just a few seconds more than putting it up the old school way!!! I'm very reassured now with this software that I can use the Steam market again!!!
Did I already say: Thank you Eeev!!! Thank you so much Eeev!!!!!!!!!!!

"Extract the files somewhere very safe on your computer. If you lose the files you can lose access to your Steam account."
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh...why is this better than WinAuth, eev? Sorry to post "late to the party" but I wasn't sure if I was going to bother with the proxy authenticators until recently.

Never said it is better. I don't know WinAuth, Khaz, SDA was recommended to me, so I tried it and it does it's job. (It doesn't run on XP though, which is bad because our computers at work run with XP, and so I still have the problem of not being able to log in to Steam at work. If you try WinAuth and it runs on 32bit systems please let me know).
I really love the auto-confirm option. Without it all the fun of selling stuff on the market would be gone.

Thanks for the speedy reply eev<3.I was all set to DL it based on your feedback and advice until I read that (to me, anyway) rather alarming sentence. How have you gotten around that potentially devastating obstacle, just making lots of copies of the files?
I haven't decided which one I am going to install, and unfortunately(for your concern)run a 64-bit system myself:/.

SDA has an auto-accept feature where it automatically confirms everything without any input, or a quick-accept feature, where a window automatically appears in the notification area for easier acceptence. I think WinAuth lacks that, but on the other hand it can also act as a passkey for a lot of other sites. So it is a matter of preference, nothing more.

Hello friendly SG community!
For me the mobile authenticator update really hurt my Steam experience, because i was trading almost everyday. With more 690+ trades i wished farewell to trading. I understand why Valve are forcing this and part of me agrees with their methods. So I embraced my faith and went on without trading but with recent Steam update Im done. I can live without trading but without Community Market im dead. Now with 15 days hold for placing your items in community market thats too much for me. To visualise my pain yesterday I crafted a badge and received an emoticon which estimated value is around 1-3 euro and if I listed it now after 15 days the price will change and i will wait forever. To the point now I must adapt and find a way to access full Steam " experience". Should I donwload "Steam Desktop Authenticator" or is there another option. I red about a thing called Android-x86.
Please share your opinion!
