Should they put some value instead of zero?
Checked. There was only one star, that is, 15% of the total indemnity.

it is now, but yesterday, when I bought this one and created give-ups, there was only one star. That's why I decided to make a purchase.

Yeah, it will make people give less. Less garbage that nobody is ever going to touch.

SGTools doesn't always report correctly in regards to CV. They have to manually update their list and that is only when someone reports a problem. And since it appears to have been updated today, I doubt it is accurate. In fact SGTools only shows 3 free games given away by Rilke, but SG shows 5.

It's a well known CV exploit but you should ask support, indeed it was even cheaper to get in the last Humble GameDev Software Bundle Tier 1 because you got 3 more apps. To be honest, I don't know why it was added to the free games list today.
Furthermore, the amount of giveaways created today is not comparable with the flood from the past. Also, is sold out in Fanatical right now.

if you pay for it, it's not free. easy as that.
this is unacceptable.

if they bend their own rules by marking something as free that wasn't free then i guess we can have the liberty of applying our own rules to everything as well.

if people stop caring everybody will notice, that's for sure.
anyway, it's time to wait and see what happens.

'Cause it doesn't, doesn't mean it shouldn't. It's hypocritical having a different treatment towards 2 identical issues and at the same time demanding that the rest obey the rules with no exceptions made. It's, imo, a bad practice which sets a bad example towards the users. It's obviously privately owned, yet in my opinion it's unethical to bend the rules whenever you see fit. It reminds me of when the kid who had the ball was to determine who would play and who wouldn't, simply because he owned the ball.
I'm not saying that's the case here, as I am more than sure it is a bug.

Seems you missed my point. Other dude was implying two wrongs make a right (aka "I don't have to follow the rules then, either!"), which simply isn't true. Because CV is zero for one game doesn't mean rules don't have to be followed by users.
Also, with the way the giveaway creation page is set up now, you can check the CV return on any game before you purchase. There's really no longer any excuse for this sort of thread.

that's how sg works for bots, referrals, and alt accounts.
lots of exceptions have been made already. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They can't tell if you got something by paying for it, or if you got it when it was given away for free, so anything that was given away for free at some point gets marked as a 0 CV item. It's unfortunate for those of us that give away games that we pay for, but it seem fair and necessary to avoid exploiting the CV system.

it wasn't free. that's the whole point of this discussion!

The 0 CV value is only for free giveaways, not for discounts or bundles or flash deals, so either it was given away for free at some point (I'm often surprised by finding out that a game I'm looking to give away has no value because it was given away for free at some brief moment in time), or there's a mistake.
That said, I always thought the point of this site was to give away games so that other people could play and enjoy them. The CV and levels are just a nice bonus to reward people for being generous. If you're purposefully buying high value software at a huge discount with the specific purpose of giving it away to increase your CV, that seems against the spirit of the site, and the kind of giveaway that I think we would all prefer to see less of.
And please don't misinterpret that as me implying that you're not generous - you've clearly given away some great games in the past, like Borderlands games which I absolutely loved.

no logic
If $1 is free, support should add all this games to free list
Humble GameDev Software Bundl. Tier 1 for $1
Pyxel Edit
Clickteam Fusion 2.5
Spriter Pro
Spriter: Game Effects Packcur
And if any tier 1 will get $100 value in future (15 cv) - they should include it to the free list
How about this bundle?
https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/zHn8M/otakubundle-herocraft-bundle-1
Why those games not in free list?
$0.60 per unit (if you buy x10)
CV: 16.3305

The change wasn't retroactive, it only applied to today. Ergo, it wasn't the many $1 Clickteam tiers that are to blame.
Rather, it looks like Shobo confused the $1 Fanatical promotion (as that was the only Clickteam promotion specifically listed for the 19th that I can find) as being a free copy promotion [perhaps due to the 5 copy Clickteam bundle giveaway that actually did occur]. As a potential mistake, there's no reason to freak out until we see if it can resolved easily or not. On the other hand, perhaps we're overlooking another promotion. In the meantime, getting upset over unjustified assumptions is pretty "no logic" in itself.
Though there's been a steady push from parts of the community to free-list 95% off 95% off, so by all means, feel free to add support to that, if you feel it a necessary change. In the meantime, it's unlikely they've made a radical policy change without even a mention in the change log.

If its a mistake - ok, if not - hmm, lets wait for new rules, where $100 value for $1 - its free
If its result of someones ticket - thats sad
You can wait with your tickets for weeks (for example - Deadlift - Awesomenauts Character free 8 days ago, still not in free list)
https://www.steamgifts.com/archive/search?q=Deadlift%20-%20Awesomenauts%20Character
And i don't really care about cv and don't defend cv-farmers, i just don't understand why support did that.

Which part is the one you (and a lot of people more) don't get it?
Clickteam Fusion was in a bundle with other software games (Humble GameDev Software Bundle to be exact) for $1
At that moment Clickteam Fusion didn't cost $80 it was the double, $160 and SG got flooded with THOUSANDS of GA for it clearly doing an exploitation of CV since as a bundle ppl were getting 15% of $160 something around of $25 each, and being able to do 5 GA for it ppl went from LVL 0 to LVL 4-5 only with that.
So is more than reasonable to understand WHY this game got BANNED from the bundle list.
Dunno if u knew this, but couple weeks ago (maybe a lil more then a month) cg changed some rules, allowing to be able to giveaway those games that where given free anytime in the past that were BANNED from SG, but the condition was getting 0 CV for them, and that's why u can do GA of Clickfusion and a lot of other games that were previously BANNED from being given away in here.
So it won't matter how many times u say it isn't fair, and create polls, and even if ppl start asking the same as u, because nothing will change for the solely reason that doing that would allow to ppl who actually got rollbacks for exploiting and some even banned, start making complains and asking for getting their CV back since it got accepted again.
Further more when SG got flooded by copies of that software a LOT and i really mean a LOT of ppl got blacklisted for doing that, there were a lot of threads complaining, tickets start to be created massively creating a slow response from staff solving REAL ISSUES since those ticket got buried by clickteam ones, the level games had to be given away went higher so ppl who exploited CV wasn't able to join them (like i said before they went from 0 to 4-5 in a heart bit) creating rage from those who didn't eexploited (me included) and because of that they were not able to join GA for games they could before because games that previously where being given in GA of LVL 4 start to be given at lvl 5 even 6.
So... BECAUSE of all THAT is why Clickfusion games give 0 CV
And to add something else, u might end up in a lot of blacklist (not in mine because i don't really care that, only that follow rules) just for complain that u were not able to get a lot of CV out of cents ,and be grateful that doing that GA u didn't get negative CV like ppl are asking for.
My advice delete/close this thread to avoid ppl hating u for a nonsense and recommend u to next time BEFORE buying a game for GA if ur trying to get CV for lvl up, to check that the game wasn't given away massively or exploited as in this case.
PS: the spirit of SG is give games to make others happy and in the process get some CV that will allow u to enter higher lvl GA so u can with a bit of luck win better quality games as a reward for being generous not the other way around. Ofc u r free to do it for whatever reason u like, but making this kind of threads complaining for something that weren't fair before, is a fast lane to end up blacklisted, just saying.
Merry Xmas & Happy New Year.

This is a nice wall of text. But I don't rly remember it being that way.
Since they should make that 1$ 40 games bundles do 0CV as well then..
Anyway they should make a post or change the rules and not just change CV for games/software as they please (not according to rules) if you ask me..

99% off normal price, isn't there a rule about anything 95% off and over ...

You really shouldn't buy and give away games because of their "value", just do it because you want to or have something to spare.
Nobody can speak for the decisions of the staff, but this might be because there's a free version of the program on their website.

Oh no! I'm sure he wanted to give it away because he honestly thought it would go to an aspiring game developer who is going to create the next To the Moon.
holds his tummy from laughing Sorry, I can't go through with this. It's just too ridiculous!

He should create giveaways for whatever reason he sees fit. If he wants to give away games in order to gain CV, that's fine. Stop trying to attach a moral value to everything. There is a reward system for a reason.
If you don't want people to give away solely for the CV reward, you could advocate getting rid of the system altogether.

So, here is the thing. I spent my last money to buy 2 copies of clickteam fusion 2.5 which is right now on sale for only next 24h, so it's star/flash deal.. And because of that they put it to zero value, just because it's on sale for a short time? Sorry but this makes no sense, and i think that it's not okay to put on zero value something that costs 80$ at full price. You didn't do it when there was huge sale for 1$ on Humble and now you did it with this flash deal software? That feels somehow unfair, you will just make people give less and less if keep putting zero value, trust someone that is your user for 5+ years. Everyone, feel free to vote on the poll that i created, i am sure that they will do something about it, cause i am also sure that they care about us :)
