Do you have any issues with white chocolate being called chocolate?
White chocolate should just be renamed to white candy instead for it sweetness.

I have a problem with white chocolate being called "white". Why can't it be called "pale" like "dark" chocolate is called "dark" and not "black" ?
As things are, this is just borderline racism towards caucasians.

I buy it at a local chocolate manufactory; but I think Milka had such chocolate for some time.
Edit: Well, this is the closest I can find: http://www.leysieffer-shop.de/Chocolate-assortment/White/White-chocolate-with-cinnamon.html?XTCsid=61e82bfeb5dc4c6a0c1ddbf5c0543dea

90% of "chocolate" being sold is not really chocolate
anything bellow 50% chocolate contents or derivatives of chocolate is more "not chocolate" than it is chocolate, so proper white chocolate can be considered chocolate, while common bad "dark chocolate" full of fake stuff and only 40% actual chocolate is definitely not chocolate
there are too many people on this planet for true chocolate to be accessible to everyone. The more people there are the less proper chocolate we will be able to find in the stores. Even good brands sell fake chocolate at times.

I wasn't much of a fan of white chocolate (and technically it is not chocolate but what's in a name) I like real dark chocolate waaaayyyyyyy more but I just read this "Often, the cocoa butter is deodorized to remove its strong flavor"
EEP What to think of the main ingredient of your so called chocolate being deodorized!?
Think I totally lost my appetite for the stuff now.
Wanders of to find a nice piece of 72% dark chocolate

I like white chocolate and I like dark chocolate. If it was up to me it would be milk chocolate that would be forcibly renamed, possibly as 'ruined chocolate' or 'could have been chocolate if somebody hadn't screwed up'.

Most people I know dislike white chocolate or at least claim they do. Some even state that it's not chocolate and that they find the name vexing. Personally, I like white chocolate and have no issues with its name. It may not be accurate by some definitions, but it's the common industry name and calling it anything else would now be confusing.
