I bought it during the winter sale. Cause 100%-ing games and stuff. Haven't played much of it but the puzzles definitely are harder than the ones in the original game.

I would say use the guide. The game tends to not let you go backwards, which can be really annoying. :/

Even with a guide, you might miss something. Once you accidentally hit a check point in the game, there's no turning back. D:
So you can either play the game twice or have it spoiled completely by seeing where everything is in advance. :P
